I saw it last night at the BevMo in Camarillo for $12.99. The clerk said they were trying to limit it to two bottles per customer.

so you're mad they weren't forthcoming about something you don't even know happened or not?

    breweries can't win these days

I was just reacting to what @Pahn had said. Not mad, just bummed. I got a bottle of 1.0. Would I have liked 2.0 to be distributed here, yes; will I trade for it, probably not. Same thing happened with the Stochasticity Project Varna Necropolis, where it turned out to be for only Stone stores I believe. It is just weird to have this new national beer line that was a "secret", then you own up to it and the sophmore release for that line is a Stone-only release, followed by a national release. I guess it was too soon to figure that they would all be national releases, but it wasn't being released in a 750, which is Stone's usual sign that it is Stone-only or CA-only (but I guess the BA-nature of VN should have given it away; however, barrel-aged beers do get national releases so maybe it was going to be a first for Stone).

I just wish distribution wasn't usually the small text portion of most beer releases. It would be great if the first sentence of the release was, "Coming to California and Kentucky, w00tstout 2.0..." But whatever, it's all good.

Anyone seen this in the Sacramento area? Checked my local BevMo but they are still stocked up on Burning Rosids, IRS, RuinTen, Unapologetic IPA, Collectice Distortion IPA, Stochasticity Project Varna Necropolis, Stochasticity Project Quadrotriticale, Spotlight Series Sprocketbier Black Rye Kolsch, and all their regulars to boot...

i gotcha. i've just been reading a lot of posts like this lately (like in the Bruery society threads) and don't really agree with the notion that breweries need to tell their customers everything about their operations. but i can see where people are coming from

on a side note, if you're interested i can get you some woot

I went to total wines, cap tap, corti and trader Joes and no one has it. Not sure if it is going to make it up here

I picked up 4 earlier today at $8.99 and just opened one and wow! This stuff is pretty awesome, I'm going to have to go back and stock up on some more before it's all gone. Without a doubt the best bomber under 10 bucks I've ever had. Was pleasantly surprised with the bourbon flavor since I didn't realize this was 25% BA.

Has anyone seen this in Kentucky yet? I assume it will be making its way to Louisville. Hoping to pick a few up.

That's awesome; will the item # vary from Costco to Costco, or is it constant across locations?

Everyone keeps on swinging at why it's distributed in Kentucky. Drew Curtis was born in Lexington. The beer is aged in bourbon barrels. I would go out on a limb and say Kentucky barrels since KY is the bourbon capital. Supposedly it tastes like derby pie. Sounds like if it's that limited, Kentucky is the only choice besides Stone's home state. Maybe I'm wrong.

It says on the description that it's aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Pretty obvious why it's released there and I wonder why also released in California?

At the BevMo by me they were keeping it in the back and you had to ask for it. Thought it was weird for a BevMo to not have everything out on the floor.

3 left on CraftBeerKings as of midnight (CST) for all you unlucky non CA/KY residents like myself. $13.99, so a little markup.

Item # is consistent. If you go to one of the warehouses or call, they will be able to look up inventory quantities region wide based on the item number.
