I am a fan of Stoneface but not a fan of the 16.9 ounce bottles or $8 for said bottles. I know this has been covered on plenty of other threads but this beer makes Heady a steal (same as many other beers). I do want to support these guys so will try to get there on Saturday but really limited on what I will buy at that price. Unless, it is the next coming of Dinner...then I will buy a case.

Might try and swing by before work Saturday and get a couple bottles of this. Everything I've had from them has been great. Can't wait for the RIS that's supposed to be coming out from them soon.

Damn, wish I could make it. I like the IPA and Pale a lot. They have been in steady rotation. I have wedding to attend though. :slight_frown:

Are these confirmed 16.9 ouncers? Not a fan of that size for that price either. Regardless, I plan on picking some up, as everything they've done so far has been very good to great.

I'm not a fan of the price myself even the regular IPA at $5 a bottle is more that you pay for Heady or Mastermind. But I will pay the price to support a NH brewery and not have to drive 2.5 hours to get a case of Heady. I'm expecting great things.

Will this be strictly bottle sales or will they be filling growlers?

Very pumped for this! Got to try a sample of the RIS and it is drinking A-mazing right now. Also, no one has mentioned anything about the killer test batch of porter they have on tap. Roasty, easy drinking, velvety finish. They are knocking it out of the park lately.

But it's readily available and doesn't require a long drive, trading, or any real time spent to get. If you worked out what most people are really paying for Heady and Mastermind (myself included) you aren't getting the deal you think you are. I'm getting the IPA for $4.50, and with gas and my time being so valuable, that's a great deal.

Anyone know any of the details regarding the RIS? Is it being released around Thanksgiving as first thought and will it be in their standard 16.9 oz bottle or some other format? Thanks for any info.

I love how people complain about an IPA price and then mention Heady and Mastermind only. Maybe those 2 are actually the exception? MBC Dinner at $10, does anyone blink? Personally I like Stoneface's hoppy beers even better than MBC, and I would pay $8 for a pint of their DIPA in a bar without question, since they have a world-class IPA already.

@MattOC My bad, had it in my head as $10 for some reason.

Anyway, Mastermind and Heady are produced many times which brings the price down. It's not apples to apples with a one-off limited release.

I agree that I like Stoneface IPA better than Lunch and Another One from MBC and yes it's less than they are. I guess my bottom line is like I said before I will support them and plan on being there to buy my case or maybe 2 if I can get my girlfriend to come no matter what the price is. I've waited to long for them to do a double to miss out on it.
