I've heard good things about these guys and am thinking about making a pitstop there during my drive from Mass to Maine for vacation next month. I'll be driving with my wife and 1 yr old and am wondering what the wait for growlers is typically like, say on a Friday. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers!

Friday hours are 4 - 7, although I typically go on Saturdays I wouldn't expect much of a wait. The longest I've waited was maybe 3 or 4 growler fills in front of me. Also, they usually have chilled pre-filled growlers available.

Good to know, thanks. We were thinking of leaving in the morning so that would put us in Portsmouth around noon, which obv wouldn't work on a Friday. May have to rethink our plan...

Does NH have the inane law that MA does that breweries can only fill their own growlers filled? Or is NH reasonable like VT and CT and don't care? Thanks!

Same as Mass, but a few breweries will sticker other growlers to brand them as their own and fill them. I believe White Birch and Blue Lobster do this (but don't quote me); not sure about anywhere else. Also, breweries probably have different standards of outside growlers that they'll accept.

They should be in bottles "by the end of the summer", so depending on when your trip is, you may be able to find a bottle.

We're heading up for the 2nd full week in August so we'll probably be a too early for bottles. And from what I'm hearing they're pretty strict about not filling other growlers. Oh well.

Thanks to all for the info!

Super friendly guys there, you will get as many samples as you can handle. The IPA is incredible and juicy, the pale ale is great and they probably will still have the Summer Weiz on. Great place and only about 10 minutes from Portsmouth. There are plenty of other places to check out in the area too!

I believe they're in the process of brewing their rye IPA again. It may be back on tap by the time you roll thru.

Just got back from there now and got to try out the IPA, the Pale Ale, that had been dry-hopped with simcoe and centennial and the Berliner Weiss with both the red and green mix.

Very cool guys that showed me the new bottle. Really looking forward to what this brewery is going to do next because all the beers I had were fantastic!

They were thinking a couple of weeks for bottles to fill their cooler and a few weeks after that they hope to have them out to finer beer stores in NH

Stopped by tonight and they were selling bottles. The label looked great! They said they would be selling bottles out of the brewery to start before distro. Also, had a chance to try their dry-hopped pale ale and it was extremely solid. Excited to see what more variations they come out with over the coming months.

That label looks as good as their beer tastes. Can't wait to pick up some bottles.

We stopped in on our way up north on Friday and were two of only about six people there. It took us a lot longer than we thought to get on the road and we didn't reach Portsmouth till around 4PM, so they were open by the time we arrived. We met and talked with the owner for a while (pardon me for forgetting his name). Really nice guy. He gave us samples of their beers: IPA, Summer Vice (original and with two different kinds of flavoring syrups - awesome!!) and the pale ale dry hopped with simcoe & centennial. My wife and I were both impressed by all of the beers and took two growlers with us to share with family last week. Will definitely be stopping by next time (and any time for that matter) we pass through Portsmouth.
