Visiting family in Stonington, CT today, a few miles from the Mystic Aquarium exit. Are there any places close by that carry yummy brew that I cannot get in MA (Gandhi-Bot, perhaps)?

    Thanks

Beer'd brewing is down in Stonington borough, it's a growler only spot that makes really good stuff. For a package store I'd suggest A&P Liquor in Mystic.

Beer's is excellent. Great beer. Nice people. Cool spot. Stock up.

The Engine Room is a cool place to eat, in Mystic, I think. Good food, usually a good beer list.

Ghandi and even SoS will be tough, Sea Hag is an excellent IPA from NEBCo that you could probably find. But definitely Beer'd. And not to promote another state, but you won't be far from Grey Sail either.

Beer'd is an absolute must--free tastings, always 5 brews on and they do spectacular IPAs and DIPAs. The owners are also really great people. If you have some time I agree with @Shanem12 , check out Grey Sail. Cool old macaroni factory turned brewery. Tastings range in price based on the glass you buy, but they are generous pours and you get 5. If it's tapped, you gotta try Captain's Daughter, it's definitely their best.

Beer'd, Grey Sail, and Cottrell are all very close to each other and are worth visiting.
