Every year Port does a great imperial/double IPA for their anniversary. Every year it seems to be over looked. Every year I shake my head in disbelief, sadness, and confusion, watching countless threads rate the merit of beers most of us can not regularly get. And then I end up drinking most of the 4-5 kegs I buy of it. Oh well. Your loss.

I'll only speak for myself, but being driving to distance to all that VT has to offer in that category (and even MA now with TH, Trillium, etc.), tough to get really jazzed up about a Port IIPA. Is it more than like $6 for 13oz?

That 7th Anniversary you had on was amazing. Juniper heaven! Was never able to find a bottle in the stores though??

You can get some Port Mongo at Wines & More in Mansfield that was bottled in February. February 2013, that is.

I was joking! Don't buy it. That thing is about ready to start collecting social security. It's 14 months old.

Always look forward to this release, will pick up 2 or 3 bottles.

Used to buy it by the case in PA before Port came to NJ.

I always check dates at WM in Mansfield, but for anybody who likes aged Port Mongo, Roche Bros in Norton still has some

Good tip on a great beer! I grabbed a bottle last weekend because my guy said it was the freshest hoppy offering he had (bottled 4/14) and I was extremely happy I did. So much so that I went back for 2 more bottles today.

This is more a compliment than a dig at Lord Hobo, but if I'm there, your imports are typically unique for the area. I'm more likely to grab one (or multiple of those) than a double IPA. That being said, if I swing by and see it, I'll give it a go. I've been known to start the night (or afternoon) with something less sessionable before I move on.

If that sounds out of place there is a bottle of the 6th anniversary IPA on the menu too.
