So today a former co-worker of mine gave me a 750 of boulevard's sixth glass. He told me it was on the reduced rack at a store in his city for 2.99 or something like that. I guess he grabbed all he could, and the next day or so it was back to 12.99. We both figured it was a mistake like the 12 oz bottles were suppose to be that price, or something like that.

So BA what are your tales of prices so screwed or cheap that it was almost unbelievable?

Also, before someone says this hurts cashiers or whatever who fix the prices it doesn't. I have worked at a grocery store for a long while, and we always go by price tags.

Was up in Michigan a week or so after Black Note came out. Went to a small grocery store off the beaten path and found 5 4pks. They rung up at the single bottle price! I told the cashier "I think these beer rung up wrong" to which she responded, "maybe you just bought some bed beer"...I tried lady! Thanks for selling me 20 black notes for the price of 5!!!!!!

A liquor store nearby was selling Bell's Oberon on closeout for $2.99/sixer. My buddy bought a case and they only charged him for one sixer. $2.99 for a case of Oberon. Quite a steal.

I had the same thing happen about four years ago when New Glarus Alt was out. A case for only $7. At 9% that was about the cheapest drunk you could find.

I once got a 750ml for the price of a 22oz. It was some sam adams new releases at the time. I told her the price at the checkout when the bottle didn't show up in the system. She sent someone back to get the price and I paid a little more than half what i said. I tried to be honest, but she wouldn't let me.

I'm not sure if it was a mistake, but a sixer of bell's third coast old ale was $8.99 at my local store. Every other store in a 10 mile radius was selling it for like $17.99.

Similarly, a store near me used to sell Bell's Java Stout for $8.99. My brother liked it a lot, so he eventually bought all of the stock. Next time it was released, we were shocked to see it for $15.99

Stopped at Whole Foods in Columbus last year and saw the Duchesse for $2.49 a bottle. Beer guy was pissed when I grabbed the 6 left. He then changed to $4.99. Small victory I know.

Barrel aged Old Rasputian this year, wasn't labeled, inquired about the price and dude made it up on the spot ($7.99) when he saw my eyes get as big as saucers as I was turning to go back and clean him out he quickly followed up with, "but you can only get one."

I had a similar occurrence happen. I bought a 4 pack of Ten Fidy with some other stuff and when they scanned a can that's all it came up as, not a 4 pack, and they didn't rectify it. I didn't notice until much later though and kind of felt bad since I like the joint.

While on a walk far outside my neighborhood yesterday, I copped three 4-pks of Founders Imperial stout for $7.99 each at a corner liquor spot. With a deal like that, I didn't have the heart to score 'em all. But, um, not to say I won't go back tomorrow :grinning:

I remember back in the day (prolly 2008-ish) getting a case of DFH Punkin Ale in San Antonio for $11.49 or something ridiculous on clearance at HEB.

LOL. That would so never happen nowadays. Stuff is gone in 2 days.
