Looking to take the wife and kids to Sesame Place this Sunday. Are there any good stores in the immediate area? I see Philly's Steaks Wings Beer, but the reviews are old. Is it worth it to stop there? I am unfamiliar with the area, so it's difficult to search the surrounding towns. Any help would be appreciated. Please don't send me far out of the way, as I will likely be shopping after a long, hot (and wet?) day with a 2 year old, a 4 year old, and a pregnant wife. Cheers!
Trenton Road Takeout and Philly's Craft Beer. PCB is a minute drive from Sesame Place. TRT is about 3 miles away, but fill growlers. Both have generally similar prices, but TRT can be slightly cheaper at times.
When I'm in the area, besides the above bottle shops, I usually also stop into the retail distributor (12 pks/cases only) Pat Deon Beverages - around 2 miles away, in Fairless Hills. A lot less "sticker shock" when you buy at a distributor in PA.
My Fiance lives just around the corner from these places and I have yet to check them out. I know TRT does singles and 6 packs, does PCB do that as well? Or has the recent law change come into effect yet?
Thanks for everyone's help. I went to PCB, and the selection was amazing. If I hadn't been to Philly a couple of weeks ago I would have bought a ton of stuff there. As it is, I only bought a few things, but I would definitely go back there next time I'm in the area. Dropped by TRT also, but the selection was largely the same/slightly worse, and the layout was horrible. Prices were a tad better though. Anyway, thanks again!
Sorry I was really busy and didn't have a chance to respond. Yes, you can buy any quantity you want, including mix-a-six or 6pk of the same. I believe the 192oz limit does apply to growler fills though, but you can leave the store and come back right away for more. Glad you got some stuff! Yeah the layout at TRT is pretty chaotic. They need to so something about that.
