    Hey all,

So im down in Reston VA for business this week, and will have some time hopefully to get to some beer stores/brewery possibly to get some bottles to bring home. Does anyone have any good suggestions? The only one I was already looking at was Total Wines in Chantilly.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Cheers,

TW chantilly is a good option, you might also want to think about TW sterling, might be closer to you. Whole Foods in Fair Lakes is probably the best place in the area, Whole Foods in Reston has some good stuff as well but is much smaller than Fair Lakes. You might also want to hit MOM's Organic Market in Herndon, it is close to Reston, they dont have a huge selection but they do have some good stuff from time to time. Carpool is right around the corner from MOM's, and Mellow Mushroom a little further away but both are nice places to find a decent draft beer in Herndon. As for local breweries, there is Lost Rhino in Ashburn that is not too far away. Sweetwater Taverns in Centreville and Sterling (and Merrifield, a little further away) brew their own beer and some if their stuff is pretty good. No bottles at Sweetwater, you can get growlers but you have to buy one of theirs unless you already have the same type of generic growler then you can exchange it with their weird, out dated, and in at least one incidence particularly unsanitary growler exchange system. At least it only tasted like moldy dish rags once, but man that growler was horrid. Anyway, thats most of the stuff nearby, there is a wine shop in Reston Towne Center that had some craft beers, and Ashburn Wine shop is a similar place with a few craft beers. If you want to head out to Vienna, I would definitely hit up Norm's and Whole Foods. Cheers!

In addition to what is posted above, the Trader Joe's in Reston has an ok selection and pretty good prices and Wegmans in Fairfax has a good selection and good prices. There is also another wine shop (Wine Cabinet??) in Reston, shopping center at the intersection of Reston Pkwy and Lake Newport, a bit pricey but they have some good stuff.
