I prefer the puzzles under the Mickey's grenade caps.

Man I was just thinking about this. I picked up a bottle of the new Old Guardian with Pekko hops. The back story is basically a novel and has absolutely nothing to do with the beer but it is funny none the less.

SN puts an appropriate amount of 'stuff' on the label, I think.

Rather see the puzzles or playing cards under the cap. I lose interest in reading a bottle pretty easy. Stopped reading Stone bottles.

    Enjoy

New Glarus always has a short story on the side of their labels. Usually describing either the beer itself, or how it got the name.

My favorite is Arrogant Bastard . It insults you and tells you how unworthy you are of drinking that beer .

I prefer stories/scenarios that are open to interpretation given thru the label's art rather than a wall of text, and more so if it's just overpraising the beer. I've always been fond of the labels from the current most popular brewery in my city: Fauna.

    Here are some examples:

Some of my favorites come from Lost Abbey. They have almost nothing to do with the beer, but the motif of each story lends itself to the beer style, which really sort of puts me in the mood to drink their beers

Wow, these look like they could be the covers of old books or something! Even have that "yellowed old paper" look going on with the background color of the label.

When I just started out as a young, burgeoning craft drinker and would have my over-21 friends but me beer, I would ask them to get me one with "a pretty picture on the front and an interesting story on the back." Thats how I knew I'd be getting quality, and that's how I discovered Anchor Steam, Wolavers Oatmeal Stout, and Arrogant Bastard.

Not a fan I find it hard to read, drink, and drive at the same time. All joking aside I love a good run down of what's in the bottle. I don't need the recipe just what malts and hops have been used.

Useless waste of resources. I like simple old fashioned front labels which tell me everything I need. Why a back label with some marketing mumbo jumbo??

I like the Heady Topper and Focal Banger descriptions of why you should drink it from the can. I do not necessarily agree with it, but it makes for good reading.

I'll double down on Clown Shoes. I like it because the stories, as a whole, make sense. For example, you can read about the fights between mystic animals and heroes thru out the series of base beers. Each beer is 3-4 paragraphs which, to me, is like a beer chapter book. Next chapter? New Beer! Also, the story of Rex (a lonely dinosaur) always makes me laugh.
As to the OP, I love a good story. Yea, it may not make sense, but it is more fun then reading the plato/abv/ibu/hop content out loud. Informative, but if I did that I think people may think I was having a stroke.

I'm a fan of the stories on the Lagunitas bottles and packages. The ones on Sucks and Hairy Eyeball are particularly amusing.

The stream-of-consciousness word-bricks on Stone's Old Guardian are always a fun read, too.

One go-round with Lukcy Basartd was enough for me (although I will say that the more of it you drink, the easier it is to read).

You shouldn't drink and drive. You might hit a bump and spill some.

Not a fan of the beer, but I like the Rock, Paper, Scissors under the Session caps.
