I have collected bottle that I am planning on displaying later. The problem I am running into is that I don't have a good way of storing them. Any thoughts would be really helpful.

    Uh...cardboard beer cases w/dividers or sixpack baskets.:astonished:

It's like they were practically custom made to store beer bottles.

I feel like the two people above me really nailed it, so let me just reinforce their point. haha.

I ran out of room in my small apartment for displaying bottles so I'm doing exactly what you're asking. As long as you have a safe place to store them, just throw them...errr...place them in a box. If you have empty six packs they will work even better and then you can stack them.

Six pack cases are not very practical for me. I have close to 100 bottles that are currently in Rubbermade bins but they don't fit very nicely.

Well I'd say your rubbermaid bins are safer than cardboard anyway. Just carefully stack them as tight as possible on their sides. Wrap them in paper if you are still worried.

100 bottles? Maybe you out to reduce your collection. There can't be 100 whalez you need to show off.

I have some Rubbermaid containers I like to show off by displaying them on top of beer bottles. To each their own, I suppose.

Storing 100 bottles is going to take up room. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way around that … where's WonkaVision when you need it?

That being said, back when I collected bottles, I used 750ml/wine bottle boxes to store them in. Usually your local beer/liquor store will give these to you and they work great (that's what they're made for after all). They stack well, keep the clutter off the counters, out of closets, and help prevent them from breaking.

Mississipping, I think I found what you were talking about. Uline has boxes made for holding beer/wine bottles. I might look into getting a few. Thanks for your help.

I did have over 300 different bottles displayed in my old garage, but alas had to move.. to a place with a much smaller garage. I found a importer who gave me, and still gives me his empty German beer crates, Spaten, HB etc.. I've now got 720 different bottles stored in 36 crates, which look cool and stack well together in the new garage.. Just waiting for a idea of how the hell I'm going to show them off.. that's not even taking into account of the inbox of 100+ different bottles!
