It looks like Story Hill BKC is now open in Milwaukee. A recent article on the place stated they have 22 taps and will fill growlers, as well as sell 70+ bottles of beer. Has anyone stopped in yet? If so, how is it? Considering it's owned/operated by the same people that own Blues Egg and Maxie's, I'm guessing the quality will be excellent.
Haven't been there yet, definitely will give it a go soon. Heard it has about 10 taps from someone , maybe they were wrong.
Digging up an old thread but anyone try this place out? I've been there a few times and it's not bad!!! Some of their beers can be a bit pricey, but overall good stuff.
I also agree that it's a little pricey. But it's definitely the best beer selection in that area by far. They also do growler fills and stay fairly current on BeerMenus, which are both huge pluses in my book.
Stopped in for the first time last Friday, also agree it's pricey, both food and drinks. Tap selection was solid, tried a Like Minds coffee stout I have been wanting to try and never saw anywhere prior. The food was very tasty. With the way they structure their menu in three tiers of small apps, sides and sharing plates, it's hard to get out of there for under $100 for two. I ate in the bar area and forgot to stop by the bottle shop section on my way out, so can't comment to much on it except that I passed through it to get to the restrooms, and I noticed a few bottles of BB Night Train in the cooler, looked like the regular. So if anyone is looking for one of those......
Besides the great beer selection, you have a world class chef who has come up with a way of making 6-15 dollar entrees, letting commoners like me experience culinary and brewing genius for under 20 bucks
