Stout BIF - Hints & Hauls

Hint: It is NOT snowing right now in my targets state, however it is snowing in my state.

 

Well, it's not snowing near Philly today, but Pittsburgh is getting a couple inches. Guess you're out for me...

 

Well hopefully weather.com is correct. The map I looked at didn't show snow in PA , but you are correct that you are not my target

 

My box of around 250oz of Midwest fun is headed to a state that the stockyards of chicago in times gone by had to thank for much of their product.

 

Just got a nice fresh bottle from portsmouth, nh from my brother that I've been waiting on so my target should have their box this week. Wonder what brewery that is from? . I'm all set to go at this point.

 

Up to 290 ounces for my target including 10 or 11 wants.

Picked up some more goodies for my target today. I'd recommend they reinforce their porch and tip the FedEx guy. In the words of MordorMongo, I'm going to fuck your porch.

 

It's hard to narrow down the list, I think I still have 19 potential senders...

Anyway, originally I was planning on sending about 200 oz with multiples / verticals and an average of 97 or so. The more I dug into my targets want list the more I realized that I could hit a ton of them. So I'll be sending 19 beers with an average BA score of 93.5. There won't be any multiples and 16 of them will hit my targets wants.

Hint: My target's wants implies he'd enjoy many of the stouts and scotch ale's that come out of the midwest

 

Average BA score of 95.

 

I'm just waiting on two stouts coming via trade from a brewery that distributes most of its line here in Chicago but not these two particular brews. One is a very highly rated bomber, the other is a year-round shelf beer (I'm pretty sure). Both are wants.

 

Try hard... :grins: its fun knowing what people are gettingI just snagged a few smaller wants or things my target has enjoyed and rated highly to round out my box including one very non-stouty extra from a young Chicago brewery that's super fresh now so I hope he doesn't mind another week or so's age on it

 

Those look like they are all on my want list , but your first clue dosen't seem to point to me. All the other clues match up well especially the fact that my want list looks like an exact printout of your have list

 

I have no idea who my sender is. I know 2 possible, but being 4 of us from FL, it's hard to say which 2 are getting the boxes.

 

Haul locked in at 316oz well it woulda been 328 but I wasn't thinking and had an old raspy... And had forgotten that we can all get it so it was a beer that I didn't need to pass along

 

My target doesn't have any small wants, but I am still able to hit 4 or 5 of them and I have never realized how many Porters I considered stouts until this bif. Extras are where it will be at for someone who has a box traveling NE

 

To whoever my sender is I didn't realize how few wants I had I'm off to add more lovely things from far reaching places to the list

 

Oh man! I figured Budweiser black whatever was a stout. I was hopin for 144 oz of that

 

To my sender: I realize my wants are not easy to come by. If you can hit any, great! If not, I always like to try new beers that I can't buy in distro. I'm sure I'll be happy with whatever comes together... I do not like smoked beers, many spiced beers, "funky" brett beers etc. I'm really enjoying the sour side of wild ales at the moment! As I have a lot of beers to drink, beers I can hang onto for a big would be preferred (but a couple balling IPAs would be appreciated in moderation...)

 

After going over the weekends clues I am down to 12 potential senders. One person is in the lead, but like Ray said, it's tough to lock it down with four of us in the BIF residing in Florida.
