Stout BIF - Hints & Hauls

I'm curious, since this is my first BIF, when our sender ships, do we get the tracking number so we know to expect a package? Or is it just a surprise when it arrives?

 

Surprise unless you're sending it over a big holiday or something when your target may be out of town for several days.

Send a tracking # to the BIF coordinator (bbpro47 in this case) so he can cross you off the list as having shipped.

 

It should be a surprise, though I'll usually track it myself and make a post in hints & hauls when it lands. "Someone in Abu Dhabi has a box o' dicks on their porch." Something like that.

Setting up a trade for one of my target's top wants. Thought about keeping it for a second, because it's also something I've never had the chance to try. But karma blah blah blah.

 

Down to 9 possible senders, but really have no reason to suspect any of them over another.

For Shipping definitely get a FedEx account. The more I ship the better discount. I usually just measure the box and guess on weight. They'll fix it once it arrives. I'm never too far off, maybe like $5. But a 50lb box to Colorado from Texas cost me $32 and that's the most I've paid, so definitely worth getting an account.

To my target: 226 oz of Stouts, some wants but all are great beers.

286-300 oz total. Shipping Monday. Or by Wednesday.

check the weather if your shipping north and shipping on weds. It may run into getting held over the weekend someplace and I would hate to see beercubes

 

Thx. I forgot its not 80 degrees everywhere else in the US. Ill ship Monday just in case Weather is bad in my Targets city. Last Hint: shipping N.E of Texas and my target has been slightly active in this thread.

 

No problem. I'm in Chicago and its pretending to be spring right now but tomorrow it's down to the 20s so who knows what the next few days will bring also I head mn is gonna get slammed by some snow over the next few days
