Stout BIF - Hints & Hauls

Hoping to pick up some Grandfather Raven tomorrow after work if they still have it left. It'll be tough to give it up though

 

According to FedEx my boxes are travelling through a southern state where I ran a marathon in November

They are scheduled to arrive at their final resting place on Thursday

That sounds like an awesome beer. I know I've pre-packed a couple more difficult bottles to spread out the pain a little.

 

It'll all be ok jake ones the porch bombs hit their targets and you see the recipients enjoyment at the beers from the big guns to the smaller ones you and I take for granted since we see them on a day to day. Shoot me a message and let me know when works for you to drink a few big guns and pack up.

 

Sorry guys just checking in I am on a ten day anti biotic so trying not to get on here to tempt myself, but my box will be sent to a guy who should know how to ice skate (to be fair even the hot states put an ice rink in downtown for Christmas)

The Big Gruesome looks great but I am ISO: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. I have a soft spot for both Meadville, PA and the movie Swingers.

 

I have a bomber of Big Black VooDoo Daddy in the Cellar...I drank one the other day and it's too hoppy for my taste, but I'm not a big IPA fan. Good beer though and I'm sure I'll enjoy more next year once the hop profile fades a bit.

Unlike Victory Storm King, that I had to drainpour because it was so hoppy and bitter. I didn't get any stout characteristics that I like from that one

 

Don't worry, I may be hitting one of you PA guys up for a little Spring House for Cigar City local trade. I just have to get through this BIF & Hunahpu day first.

 

Wouldn't you be thrilled if I was your sender, as I also have multiple bottles of BBVD sitting in my cellar right now. I am actually considering making the drive to Meadville for their Barrel-Aged release of BBVD and Black Magick.

 

I sure would ... I was considering making the drive to Meadville myself (~7 hours) for that release (I have relatives in Pittsburgh that I'd visit so it wouldn't just be for that purpose), but I booked a gig for that weekend. That said, your last two clues have both ruled me out. Unless I misunderstood someone's clues or someone's clue was wrong, I'm down to 5 potential senders, all of whom have posted no (or very few) clues.

 

Alas, you are correct. I am not your sender. But, perhaps after this BIF we can work out a small trade or something. My girlfriend said she'd be happy to go to the Barrel-aged release with me, so I could get TWO bottles. I just haven't decided if I want to drive that distance. I have no other logical reason to be heading in that direction, haha.
