I can probably get you Riserva if you need it, couple of local places usually have it on the shelf.

Ok, then you can set up a trade with @luwak when Kiwi comes out next, you just have to get me a crowler too.

It was @luwak looking for it, so like @Mipper, you are more than welcome to set up the trade! Sadly in my part of the state it's been long gone. Damn tasty beer though!

edit: Maybe the two of you could combine on a box to him and coordinate shipping

I like shipping beer, glassware and consuming crowlers of Pizza Boy Sours. Just saying

Riserva is a wonderful sour. I've got a nice little vertical going now. Been ages since I've seen one on a shelf though :-\

I actually was not that fond of the Kiwi sour from Pizza Boy. It seemed a little bland. Surprisingly, the chocolate sour he tapped at that same time was awesome.

Let's not forget the "other" option at Pizza Boy................people here may not be aware, but their head brewer Terry Hawbecker, was the one responsible for the BullFrog Brewery Sours the Le Grrrr stuff, and he has his own label Intangible Ales which operates from the same location as Pizza Boy. Their stuff is really good too IMHO. The Accidulated Hive and Future Primitive are darn tasty.

The Public Service Announcement is now over and you can get back to your regularly scheduled porch bombing program now.

I really should try those. I passed on Future Primitive when I saw it on a shelf due to cost, but I've been regretting it. Acidulated Hive sounds even more intriguing and I'm sure both are great. One of these days I'll have to put effort into correcting this.

Couldn't agree more. I made sure to pick up multiples of both Future Primitive and Acidulated Hive. I was just in Reading the other day at Mari's 6 Pak N Mor (or however you misspell it) and saw Future Primitive on the shelf for $20/each. I recall it being much cheaper at Pizza Boy, so I passed.

That's what it was at my Whole Foods, which is why I passed. For even "a bit" less, let alone "much" less I would definitely have gone for it.

Similar to what my shipper said, my target knows who he is, and I'm planning on shipping next week, after I get back from a weekend in the Dominican Republic, and then pick up one last bottle from a friend of mine.

And also, I will certainly be sending two boxes. There's no way to fit all these stouts into one box. I don't even know how I would try. That would be insanity.

To my target, I should hope that you know who you are, if you've been following the forum. However, you may be totally in the dark, as I haven't seen activity here since posting some major hints. Expect three packages to land on Friday, hopefully someone is there to sign for them.... (hint hint)

I wouldn't deal with the rooftops. First off, it's not a great place to watch a game on a normal day. It's more about the experience.

Secondly, Wrigley is under construction right now, and the new plans call for a bunch of rooftops to be blocked, so that's kinda up in the air.

I would see what ticket prices look like before hand, and see if you're cool with just buying them through the cubs or the secondary market.

You'll have no problem being able to scalp some out front though. There are even multiple secondary ticket businesses around the ball park.

On another travel-related note. At the end of May (22-30th) my family and I will be driving from PA to Kissimmee, FL, with some already-planned stops along the way. We will be spending the night in Bluffton, SC, so I'll have more time available in those parts.

But, I am open to suggestions for breweries or awesome bottle shops I should hit along the way. On the way back we are making a stop in Atlanta, so I'm all ears for stuff near there as well!

    Target,
I may still not have found you any non-stouts (excepting 2 porters), but in going out to find your last bottle, I somehow added another 110oz on top of it. Now that I'm definitely finished shopping, box stats coming soon.

Thanks! Sounds like we will get tickets to the stadium. I figure since they are playing Arizona that it won't be that hard to get tickets. We are not sure where we are staying yet but probably somewhere downtown.

My recommendation is would be to get to Wrigleyville early, grab a beer or two at Goose Island, which is 1 block away from the stadium on Clark. They don't serve anything big/cool on game days, but they'll have the best selection by far in that neighborhood. Once you get to the park, your best bets are Goose IPA and 312 from the vendors, or Old Style. I would say if you're visiting Wrigley, you have to have at least one Old Style. Preferably 2 or 5.

After the game, I would head to West Lakeview Liquors. It's on Addison also, and one of the 2 or 3 best bottle shops in the city. It's about 1.5 miles west.

I pretty much only drink Old Style at Wrigley. True confessions of a former FIB.
