Stout BIF Round 5 Hints & Hauls

Man, I thought that I would have the most ounces with 520 oz and 62 lbs, apparently that is just not the case. @Karaoketpa killed it. I'm also amazed you were able to send 550 oz of beer in 60 lbs of boxes, considering my box was 62 lbs and included close to a dozen CANS. You have extreme packing skills sir, and have defied the laws of physics.

Too bad I never too pictures, but what I ended up doing was putting 3 wide/flat boxes of beer inside a [large box]. And they still didn't all fit so some of them were just in a gallon zip-lock.

 

They were very well packed boxes. It probably took a minute per bottle to get each one unwrapped. Lots of ziplocs and tap and bubble wrap with trash bags, packing peanuts, styrofoam sheets and a couple other things thrown in.

 

Alright.... Seriously target...... It's time for you to open your boxes.

 

just got home to two boxes from @Andelliotsaid !! ...so many wants! and a freakin awesome box! (such impressively/neatly/well packed, too =) ...will post pics soon. but the 55lbs of brews definitely knocked it out of the park. ...stay tuned for les pr0n.

Enegren - Dun Cow, milk stout .. have no clue what this is! but looks super exclusive: "Sample Beer Not For Sale"
El Segundo - Steve Austin's Broken Skull, IPA .. recently tried to visit this brewery, but was closed - redemption!
Modern Times - Hooloomooloo, IPA .. moved away from SD just as MT blew up -- stoked to try this for the first time
Highland Park - Pushin Carts, saison .. excited to finally try HP's stuff -- have been tryin to acquire their brews for a while. yes!
Highland Park - Woodshop 10th Anniversary .. dang! anniversary beers always seem to knock it out of the park.. and it's by HP, so i'm stoked for whatever this 9.6% brew is!
Highland Park - Griffith J Griffith, coffee imp.stout .. want!! had an IP trade setup for this, but airline lost my luggage for an IP -- been trying to hunt it down ever since.
Highland Park - Raised Eyebrows, sour .. another want!! also debunked IP trade (see above)... yes yes yes!!
Avery - Liliko'i Kepolo, white ale .. crisp fruity freshness for a wam 'spring' day unpacking this BIF. nice.

Figueroa Mountain - Stagecoach Stout .. been able to try their IPAs, excited to try their stout; seems highly regarded, too
Great Divide - Oak Aged Yeti, imp stout .. word! one of the BA stouts that originally got me into BA stouts; been sittin on a 2011 bottle that i can have with this 2015 one.
FW - Parabola.. say what?! awesome! no description needed. one of my top 5 stouts, probably; permawant!
Bottle Logic - Darkstar November, imp. stout .. once i picked my jaw up off the ground, i was able to cross this of my wants list too! woot woot!
Barrelhouse - Stout .. haven't heard of these guys, never had, but lookin forward to it! trust in Paso Robles!
Modern Times - City of the Dead, BA coffee stout .. psyched to have another bottle of this, have only had once before
MacLeod - Jackie Tar, brown stout .. hmm, new to me! always excited to try new stuff!

The Bruery - Sucre .. never got the chance to pick this one up, and def gonna save for a special occasion
The Bruery - Freckle .. can't get enough of this stuff; and happy to have another; sweeet.
Hangar 24 - Pugachev's Cobra .. want! want want! thank you thank you!
Alesmith - Hawaiian Speedway .. siiiiiick; have only had a sampler of this, so this is quite exciting!!!! want!
Alesmith - Speedway ... classic! and perfectly setup for the side-by-side; that'll be a great day.

Overall... a freakin amazing box! i can't believe all the wants that were hit.. and the bottles that i never thought i'd have the chance at (i'm even excited about the M&Ms)!!! So many thanks! and each pound of the 55lbs were well chosen, and i can't thank you enough. ..everything from the stouts, to sours, to IPAs! ...California was represented so very well this round, my friends. VBS From this weekend in St Louis

Picked a great weekend to go to St Louis. Got a small taste of that bottle and Bleuet while waiting in line. That Derivation 5 is amazing . Sadly they didnt let us buy bottles of that. Should be ready to send by tomorrow/weds. In the process of moving as well and looking forward to shipping out beer so i have less to move .

 

12 hours at the UPS Store and then reported damaged. Crap! WTH did they do to it?

 

That sucks! The 2nd one, it looks like at least the box made it there- kicking around the office somewhere? Really really hoping that you get your box back and you're only out 1 beer or so.

 

Shit. That sucks man. It's such a terrible feeling. Hopefully it's nothing too bad and just an shelfie.
