Stout BIF Round 5

Hope I can be included. Just don't ask @JNForsyth if it's okay for me to get into this BIF.

 

Good thing I saw this, people that send 70+ pounds of beer at a time aren't welcome here!

 

Probably time to start tagging folks again to make sure they are still in as the window is about a week out from closing.... I am hoping we've sparked a lot of interest and can see the same level of success as we did last round!

November is better for me. (even December is fine) That way hopefully my target can at least get a 2015 Black Tuesday....
I might be able to rustle up another participant or two.

It'd be my first BIF but i'm an experienced trader.

 

I have traded with him for pliny and pig for xmas for greg last year and was a great trader! Happy to sponsor him if you guys need one

 

With 57 trades I can't imagine he'd need a sponsor

I'm going to drop out. Been working so much I haven't had time to chase beers and I don't feel my cellar is in good enough shape to do this BIF the justice it deserves. Bummed I'm going to miss it. Enjoy guys. Cheers.

How does it work? Do I send 250oz to a particular person?

 

With only 4 trades under your belt and a < 6mo join date, you will likely have to ship early and may need a sponsor to participate, but I'll defer to @bbpro47 on that one. You also might find that the Stout BIFs (and the 12 Days BIFs) are not a great place to dip your toe into the waters of the BIF community. Both of those require really high-quality boxes, in part because they've been ongoing (eg this will be round 5 of Stout) and a lot of the participants have been one-upping each other for a while. These are not designed for beginners.

With that said, there's a BIF that just wrapped up "Round 1" called the Summer Newbie BIF, and it sounds like Round 2 will be coming in just a few weeks. Even there you would need a sponsor and/or would have an early shipping date, but that BIF is specifically designed to cater to newcomers to the community and the requirements and expectations are significantly lower.

As @StrongRepublican mentioned, ultimately your participation in Stout is up to the leader @bbpro47, but if you want to set yourself up for success, I recommend starting at the start.

 

Ok, sounds like I need more experience and tenure. I will build that through the above mentioned Summer Newbie BIF. I will gracefully bow out of this BIF then. Thanks for the input and direction gents!

 

Hoping I got included in this BIF as I should be able to include a MTL in my box given any unforeseen ends of the world.
