Holy Shiznit! This is my 4th bif and I have to say @RustyP takes the cake! I do feel a little slow for taking so long to realize he was my sender. When 'ol rusty hinted baby clothes I was really confused until my gf said it was Oshkosh B Gosh. But I will just shut up and post some pics now.

We will start with the big fellers.

Boulevard Brewing Imperial Stout, 40% aged in whiskey barrels. You could barrel age duck butter and I would love it!
    Quakertown Stout - Looks Awseome!
Gingerbread Stout - Unfortunately my girlfriend is excited about this :slight_frown:
Brunch Money - Golden Stout? And maple syrup!
Stone Imperial Russian Stout - Just tried the 2014, happy to see this is 2013!

Speedway Stout, Vietnamese Coffee - Want!
Saint Arnold Pumpkinator- Love pumpkin beers!
The Event Horizon - Huge want!
Mexican Cake! So excited for this little guy!

Bourbon Barrel Plead the 5th - Perma want
Prairie Wine Barrel Noir - Love this!
Prairie Bible Belt - Been dying to try this!
Bourbon County Barleywine - One of the best barleywines
The Temptress Milk Stout x2 - Awesome

Uroboros Stout - I think this may have been the one that 'ol rusty's (Can I call you 'ol rusty? Cuz it's happened) friend made! Looks great!
Buried Hatchet Stout x2 - Looks good
Pretzel Stout- No idea what this will be like
Black Crack - See my duck butter comment above

This just looks like good old fashioned fun! Theres a bag of coconut flakes taped to the back. Cant wait to make a Prop!

I am so excited about these, but its also driving me crazy because I don't know whats in them! Whats in them!?! Tell me now! Please!

And some tasty treats. Some good old fashioned beef jerky (already had some, very tasty) and flavored cashews (also tasty!) that I think were 'ol rusty's recipe?

This was a crazy two boxes and there are rumors/threats of a third?!? This is was too much, but I accept the challenge of drinking it all. And I don't care if those growlers can last a month or two, they will be lucky to last a week! But seriously, Rustyp, I can't thank you enough! Seriously! I like you, you're crazy, but I like you!

And not to be outdone, @rspauldi was kind enough to reach out to help me try a new Gose. Not to be outdone he included these beasts:

    Real Ale Gose x6
    Vanilla Noir
    Bomb!
    Yellow Rose Growler

    Awesome guy!

AWESOME! So glad everything arrived safely! My condolences regarding your porch.

Just sent you a BM clarifying a few things, but I'll go ahead and post here too

    1) The growlers are Prairie Bomb!, Lakewood Lion's Share II (berliner weisse aged in wine barrels on black currants), and Revolver Fracker Barrel One (Mother's Little Fracker stout aged in red wine barrels)

    2) The snacks were store bought, but I thought they represented Texas pretty well.

    3) Buried Hatchet is the base beer for Black Crack...did I hear someone say side-by-side tasting?

    4) Uroboros is the beer conceived and brewed by my buddy Will. Really tasty stuff!

    5) I originally had a french press as part of the DIY Prop kit...but it arrived from Amazon in several tiny pieces, and I didn't have time to replace it before shipping.

    6) Yes, there IS a third box coming next week...this one will have your swag, a bag of homemade spicy candied pecans, and a few sours (you know, to balance out the stouty darkness in these boxes). I know its outside the shipping window, but I'm hoping you'll forgive me...or at least get so stout-drunk that you'll forget about it until next week :grinning:

Just saw your bm now. Those growlers sound amazing! Did not realize that Buried Hatchet was the base beer, thanks for the heads up! And don't worry, its basically a guarantee I will be stout drunk!

    And on with the chlorophyll!!

Let's begin with the reason my Fedex driver was walking away from my front door with his dolly:

Once inside, I took a quick peek into the heavier one (had to). Dat purple wax, had me grinning because of course I know what that one is. The fact that the bottle caps were covered with tape forced me to pull them out in a natural sequence as opposed to those I may have rushed to from familiarity.

First up let's have a look at the non-stouts. AWESOME

    Then here's the little guys:

Next up, some big boys of the Imperial/Russian varietals:

Of course what stout haul would be complete without some barrel-aged goodness:

And last but certainly not least, two of my favorite breweries and their delicious offerings (with swag!) to round out this haul:

That hat, and that #properglassware. I love this entire haul. A bunch of new ticks that are very appealing, a TON of permawants that I truly appreciate having more of. HUGE Thank You to @ox1574!! I'm really digging having the proper Zhukov -> Huna pairing ('13 -> '14), the 2-year Mexican Cake mini-vert, 2011 Wake n Bake!? 2012 Ten Fidy!? DAT ELIJAH CRAIG ECLIPSE (my favorite variant)! Just...awesome. Thanks again. You really hooked this up. Cheers!!

My cousin is a pretty serious home brewer back in MI and asks me to keep all corked bottles so he can reuse them after stripping the labels off of them. I do need to put them in a box for the next time I head back to MI. Good call Mipper!

@HoppySeb I'm glad you liked the box. I hope I did alright on my first BIF. I tried to mix in some big dawgs, some local stuff, and just all around good stuff. The lowest rated of the bunch is the local collab Urban Cowboy but my friends and I loved it and thought it tasted much higher than its rated.

I'm glad I was able to send you a lot of stuff you have not had before. Enjoy the Jackie O's (along with the others) they are seriously killing it out here with their releases. The Paw Paw fruit in the Paw Paw wheat is the state fruit of Ohio. The citrus notes really come out the warmer it becomes.

    Enjoy!

Hell of an awesome box you've got there, I'm so glad you got paid back in kind for the box you sent me! Also note that Black Crack is the BA version of Buried Hatchet, not sure if you noticed us talking about that previously (I think that was in-thread), and lastly, I'm told that Bible Belt is the same base beer as Even More Jesus, but with the adjunct treatment of Bomb!

edit: just noticed you were told 5 posts ago about Buried Hatchet/Black Crack. oops! Well hopefully you learned something about Bible Belt
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Yellow Rose! Such a freaking good IPA. I also want to hear your thoughts on the RA gose, I'm told it's much different canned than on tap.

I received two big boxes of beers darker than a mid December midnight during a new moon.

One casualty to report that made one box pretty nasty to open and unwrap. It was a 16oz can that I didn't unwrap due to the situation. The rest of the boxes made it intact.

I felt like it took me an hour to unpack due the the boxes just continuing to spit out beers for me. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

The KBS Shirt will be worn shortly!

Chlorophyll? More like BOREophyll! Actually not, what an inredible haul!!!! Jesus god. Huna, Eclipse EC, 2 mini verts, a ton of CGB and JK.... I just bought some more for my box today and I think I'm going back to the store AGAIN just to make sure I feel adequate when I send the thing out...

ps - HOLY HELL that's almost 500oz!!! I'm also pretty sure the least 'ISO'd item in there is Ten Fidy, which is barely outside the top 100 on the Top 250 list.... solid box top to bottom!
