Now, i'm really liking old rasputin.

Can you recommend others to try?

    Thanks for your time.

Don't be afraid to expand to porters. They are very similar.
    Big eddy Baltic porter
    Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald
    Founders porter

These are just a few I like that are available to most areas

    Ps.
since your in jersey try Yards general Washington's tavern porter and if you can find it Yards Love Stout. It's worth the trip into philly!

If you can find Dragon's Milk, it is a Michigan Brewery, not sure you can get it up your way or not.

Going to add... Ceylon's Lion Stout, imported from Sri Lanka so I have no idea what the distribution is like but I picked it up in FL before we moved so hopefully it's along the east coast. It is just a superbly drinkable beer that if I can find it will be a mainstay. Also Brooklyn's Black Chocolate stout, hands down the best chocolate stout I've tried. I believe it's seasonal but should be available to you in a few months ( I may be completely wrong).

Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout - my go-to stout at the moment; well balanced between the roasted flavors and a nice chocolate profile; supremely drinkable

    Other favorite stouts:
Sam Adam's Cream Stout - widely distributed; a solid cream stout for the price point
Young's Double Chocolate Stout - go for the nitro cans; creamy smooth
Southern Tier Choklat - high ABV yet dangerously drinkable; the boldest chocolate flavors of any stout I've ever tried
Three Floyd's Moloko Milk Stout - a (relatively) local favorite
Bell's Special Double Cream Stout - complex roasted characteristics; velvety mouthfeel

I think everyone gave you some solid stouts to find and enjoy.

Don't forget about Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout and Ballast Point Sea Monster Imperial Stout. Being from NJ you should find these pretty easily.

It's a New Holland product; here's a good resource to help determine U.S. distribution:

    http://www.seekabrew.com/distro/index.html

Some great suggestions here; I love Oatmeal Stouts, and I consider Samuel Smith's to be one of the better ones out there. I also have a fondness for The Poet from New Holland - which I sadly cannot get here in Florida. Try Founder's Oatmeal Breakfast Stout when it becomes available later this year; Barney Flats from Anderson Valley is another nice one that I haven't seen mentioned yet. Enjoy!
