Sinfully, I don’t believe I saw a mention of Peche Mortel, which although it has a pitiful ranking of 30th on BA’s Beers Of Fame, might be worth casually checking out regardless.

Isn't that just a Belgian Stout?

There's just not enough Barrel aged, Brett infected stouts out there, so look what I'm forced to do:

Orval is about a year old, so getting ripe enough. Plus, a more neutral stout would have been more ideal.

But as it goes, my blend had to favor the Orval to get the feel I was after; and it's managing to scratch that itch. Not too shabby. :sunglasses:

I think my favorite I think almost nationally available stout is expedition stout. Brooklyn black chocolate stout, not familiar with how wide their distro is.

Here's a video with Miles talking about their yeast for anyone interested. Ron - I see you saw this twitter comment from Lars Marius Garshol: "As far as I know, Harvey’s is the only modern brewery that hasn’t purified their yeast." Any reactions?

I'm sure there must be others somewhere. In Belgium, perhaps.

Blood Brothers Black Hand is amazing. It's out of Toronto Canada. They have a decent website. Also Omnipollo out of Sweden has a few great options.
