    Hey everyone,

My wife and I are heading up to VT for a week and I was just wondering what the must-hit spots are around the Stowe/Burlington area over the next 8-9 days. I was planning on going to the Mastermind release, which has been canceled/postponed. We'll probably do HFS on Wednesday. Outside of a few other breweries we want to hit (Lost Nation, Zero Gravity, Hermit Thrush on the way up, etc) - are there any releases I should check out? I'd like to come home with some cans/bottles of interesting stuff for friends and trade partners.

    Thanks!
    Bill

Hey Bill. I'm heading up to Stowe for the weekend too ! I'm pretty pumped. Frost beer works is bottling a few nice looking brews that I def want to grab, Lush especially. I hope you have a terrific time ! Too bad about Fiddlehead though eh ?!

    Cheers,

Backacre sour if still available. That is primarily available in southern VT if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks. Any idea if the Lush (and Lushx2) will get distributed? Won't make it there tomorrow, but I do visit some of the places they seem to distribute too.

Yeah, I'm checking one spot in Montpelier on the way up that sometimes has bottles. Hopefully I'll get lucky!

You should be able to find the Frost bottles at Stowe Beverage, Hunger Mountain or the Craft Beer Cellar in Waterbury.

von Trapp is a great spot to enjoy a cold European style brew with a great view. Idletyme has some tasty brews, I like the pub side of the place.

The Bench has a tasty tap list and great food for a meal in Stowe.

If you are going to be in Burlington for Zero Gravity, Fiddlehead (still worth it without the Mastermind release) you may as well hit Burlington Beer Co. Nice taproom, good brews.

I am not sure of your exact timing, but this week is Hill Farmstead anniversary week, should be good brews on tap around, and they have had killer tasting menu offerings at the brewery.

Bench is awesome, we went last night.

Anyone know what time waitsfield gets toppers or lawsons on Tuesday?
Do they last for a while there?

Tried getting heady toppers in stowe on friday, but they were all gone by noon. Alpine mart said they lasted 10 minutes.

Last year a week later getting Heady around Stowe was SO easy. Literally any day of the week. This year I haven't seen a single four-pack yet. Maybe because it was Memorial Day Weekend? Hopefully I'll score some Friday - not really interesting in line-waiting for it, though.

Picked up BBCO 2nd Anniversary DIPA, which I'm excited to try. Plus Zero Gravity's two anniversary releases, gin barrel aged Conehead and their golden ale.

Ate at The Bench last night. Place is great.

Still planning on Hill Farmstead on Wednesday. They haven't announced any bottle releases, though. Hopefully I didn't miss out by not coming up a week earlier!

If you have a chance go to Vonn trapp. Both the lounge and delibakery have outdoor seating with amazing views. Their beer is pretty decent as well.

Dutch pancake is very tasty for breakfast.

We've been to Crop (actually now it's Idletyme even though they're still using Crop bottles for distribution) - great place. Love that bratwurst!

Until the new brewery opens and cans are available out the door, you still have to show up to the store that sells them on the morning they get them. Otherwise you'll be out of luck. Some people have found good fortune by going to much smaller towns where it may sit on the shelf for longer. All the Stowe stuff vanished really fast when I went there. Literally before lunch, all gone.
