Hey Vermont BA's, I will be at Stratton for the next 3 day's and was hoping to find places nearby to experiance Lawson's, Heady Topper, and Hill Farmstead. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
If you came from I91 you drove right past this place and its super close to the resort. They have Alchemist Celia but have this note about Heady on their site: "**Looking for Alchemist Heady Topper? - The distribution of Heady Topper has changed and most likely will not be available in Southern Vermont until later this fall. Check our Facebook page for the latest updates."
I've also bought Heady here back in the winter and they still have it listed on there site. Another store to check out in general.
I was at Stratton in May and bought Heady at Meulemans. They were going up to the cannery once or twice a week but the Alchemist's' recent retrenching seems to have brought an end to that for the time being. I expect Manchester would have the same issue, so it's worth calling. I'd recommend stopping by Meulemans anyway as they're very nice folks and they have 1-2 growler fills going at any time, but you're not going to find what you're looking for there. I had heard that HF was on draft at the Pizza Stone in Chester, but I've never been. It's worth a call. Most likely, you're going to have to north quite a bit to find any of these.
