I know it sounds odd but has anyone played with brewing one of these?

Bayou Teche Brewery in Arnaudville, LA did a beer called Strawberry Alarm Hop IPA. It also had peppers in it. The bottles I purchased I enjoyed, although the heat level ranged from not realizing they had peppers added to being spicy enough that I got a touch of heartburn.

Just bought some huell melon hops for the saison recipe from johsnow. The recipe states the huell melon adds a strawberry flavor. Not sure if a subtle strawberry hop flavor is what you want though.

If you're looking for strong strawberry flavor you will need at least 2 lbs/gallon. Just an FYI that you are going to have a very large volume fruit.

Is this going to be a pilot batch for Ballast Point?

I use 10-12 pounds per 5-5.5 gallons in my strawberry blonde. I also use huell melon late in the boil. Strawberry is bad ass and on point.

What about Belma for Strawberry? I feel like that is the hop I've read about adding more strawberry flavor than any other.

For sure I brewed a Belma IPA a few years ago and it tasted like straight strawberries
