We're doing a beer tasting at work and I'm having a really hard time deciding on what order we should be drinking all the beer in.

We've got some Erdinger hefeweizen, some Rodenbach Grand Cru, Coronado brandy barrel aged barleywine, Chimay blue, and a little Pliny. Also considering getting some Anderson Valley Oatmeal Stout.

Definitely going to have plenty of water and crackers between beers, maybe a little cheese too. That still doesn't make it any easier to choose what order to drink these in.

    Any advice ?

If you have ample palate cleansers at the ready, I'd just sort them from lowest to highest ABV. In my opinion, drunkenness hinders flavor perception more than anything else.

We second the motion, after sours, big Belgians, and barleywines, the flavors of Barney Flats (though still delicious no matter when you drink it) might get lost. Have a great tasting--Bahl Hornin'!
