I wonder what specific breweries they were at previously.

@John_M , could you insert the 'C' I forgot in the the breweries name in the thread title. I'm an idiot.:flushed:

Don't know. I suspect that a google search would uncover about a billion folks with each one of those names.

Yeah I didn't "wonder" enough to do that. Often with smaller breweries you have to sift through a ton of results to hit paydirt ... more so when the names lack anything too defining.

One of the cities listed among their previous stops was Olympia. I suppose one or both of them could have been employees at Olympia Brewing back in the day (which would technically be Tumwater, WA), but it's more likely Fish would be the brewery in question.

You got my hopes up that perhaps it was actually "Sutures Brewing" - the first medical-doctor-gone-made brewery in the U.S. Oh well. With all the new breweries popping up, it will happen soon, I figure.

I've chatted with James and Ryan briefly when I've seen them at the bottle shop, they are very excited to get started, and seem to be trying to gain a lot of local knowledge and input at this point. Wish them the best of luck and I'll see if I can get any more info about them and the brewery as well.

IIRC, the guy who owns North Sound is/was a doctor. Just think of the marketing/T-shirt opportunities: Infection IPA, Scab Stout, Busted Femur Flanders Red, Gall Bladder Golden, Kidney Kolsch,.....

I was wondering where the brewery is going to be located. They've got a 10 bbl system (brew kettle, mash tun, 3-4 fermentors, 1-2 bright tanks, hot liquor tank), so it's unlikely to be in a store front. There is an old rent-to-own store on North State st. that I've thought would be a good spot for a brewery. There's a couple of light industrial type places in that area too. We'll see.

We're all pretty excited about Structures. We'll be meeting up with them tomorrow to get the full story and we'll have a story up on the website soon. Structures will make for 12 breweries in Bellingham, counting Subdued, Gruff and Stones Throw.

The location is the old Innate building on State St.

So, my little spy squirrels have said that the possible location is between Champion and Magnolia streets, across from the climbing gym. If that's the spot, it's kinda small, especially for a brew system that size. Also, there's the possibility of "mixed fermentation", so maybe some wilds? That'd be OK.

The old, original location of Bison Bookbinding. Are they planning a tap room?

Make sure you ask them if they think a January opening is realistic. There are plenty of people in the beer/bar industry in town who can give examples of the speed with which CoB moves. Not to mention contractors/construction guys. I'm happy to see them coming onto town, but it seems like they're not real familiar with the area.

In a move that has already rustled some jimmies, Structures announced yesterday that they will be a cash-only tap room. I'm OK with this, prefer it actually, but mine was a lonely voice on a FB thread about the topic.

Cash only is fine. People need to relax.
