I have a friend who is from ohio. We both live in Pittsburgh now. He is visiting the Stubenville area in a couple weeks and offered to do a beer run. i was wondering what is available there and not here (three floyds) and where to find it. i know three floyds is VERY limited but is there any available or others from there that dont cross the border?
Looks like this place is in the area: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/16754/view=beerfly here's a list of some stuff they carry
I don't think Three Floyd's ships to Ohio. I've never seen it here on the western side of the state (Toledo). emerge077 post is spot on. Looks like a "decent" place, but i doubt you're going to find much that you can't find in Pittsburgh. If you do stop, look for The Brew Kettle stuff (http://thebrewkettle.com/beers/index.html). Then again, it might be distributed in PA.
You more and likely won't find it in Steubenville. I'm from there originally and now live around FFF. Whenever I go home, I always have people asking me to bring some since they can't find it around the area.
Also, your best bet may be to see if Valley can swing you a case somehow. I have a friend that gets them to order him stuff they normally don't carry. Might be worth a call if you live in Pitts since it's not that far. If nothing else, stay in touch and I'll bring you some when I come home next around the 4th.
Bumping up this old thread, but since it pertains to the area, does anyone know where to find Left Milk Stout Nitro in the Steubenville area? I buy the regular version at the Kroger in Steubenville.. but I'm not familiar with any other place to buy beer in the area. I will have to check out Valley Wine Cellar though.
