Sometimes it's nice to have a nice session of the same beer but what's your favorite contrasting styles to drink back to back? Sours seem to do the trick following most Pales and IPAs.
My favorite though has been some sort of drinkable Belgian followed by a really piney, bitter IPA. Stone Soup followed by a Torpedo is working really well right now, but best instance has been a NG Berliner Weiss followed by a NG IIPA. Starting with the super drinkable, tart and lemon flavor of the Berliner really brings out the pine, marijuana and more alcohol heat of the IPA. Any thoughts or preferences?

I like to do back to back Tomes to the dome. So much bottle variation=contrast within style.

It all depends on the mood. Some days we'll plan certain lineups, but others we'll just go with the flow. Tonight, for example, we went Black IPA->(coconut) IPA-> 10% peace beer. No rhyme or reason, other than the gut and the noodle.
