Sometimes I get in the mood for a thin-bodied IPA like Sculpin, but I also love a big chewy hoppy red. I pour almost every style somewhat aggressively to release a lot of carbonation and soften it up. Cheers

Gose. Watery in body, not tasting like water. Rapp Gose, the perfect summertime beer

To me, "watery" implies that the body is extremely thin and carbonation is mild at most.

Obviously this question is subjective to personal interpretation, but I do not like my beer, of any style, to be watery. I understand that some styles are brewed with the intention of being light and "thirst-quenching," but frankly, alcohol doesn't soothe my thirst. If I wanted something watery to refresh myself with on a hot summer day, I'd drink a Poland Springs or Arizona iced tea. :stuck_out_tongue:

hard ciders are about the only thing close to beer that I actually prefer a bit watered-down. I don't consider them beer, but I enjoy them at times in the summer and they're relatives of beer, so maybe they count?

As others have said, I like some beers with a lighter body, but watery and/or thin mouthfeel are never appealing. This is one of the reasons I don't care for American wits and hefes in general-- most that I've tried seem to force a light body on you by jacking up the water content, with the result tasting and feeling like I poured 8 oz. of beer into a glass with 4 oz. of water.

Cheap adjunct lagers can be watery or thin on a hot day, and I'm okay with that. On the other hand, I've had some porters that are too watery to my disappointment. Breckenridge Vanilla Porter comes to mind.
