Hell yes on the Amber Lagers and Doppelbocks. I need more of both as well.

I came here to say just that, and more specifically, on cask.

#1 - More cask beer. The cask almost always seems the better, when all else is equal.

Porters and Stouts. I truly like them both, but the IPAs have me on lockdown. I also love what the monks are doing. Rochefort 10 and Westy 8 are two of the best beers I've ever had the privilege to try.

I too have fallen prey to buying mostly only cellar beers. Lately I've flipped the opposite way. I've skewed greatly towards IPAs lately and grapefruit sculpin had been quite helpful in the process.

Wish I got to drink more ESBs. One of my favorite styles when it comes to mass consumption.

I wouldn't mind trying more English Bitter Ales, Belgian Dubbels, or Black IPA's.

Sours. can't seem to find them around here and my buddy just brought a bunch back from Oregon...man oh man were they good.

Also, Porters. Never really liked them when I first got into beer but every time I have one I say to myself "man, I need to drink more of these".

I discovered this by mistake. I don't know what my buddy ordered originally, probably a porter cause he loves em, but he was about halfway through one when the server came back to tell him he was served a Weisenbock, not what he ordered. He loved it. I never had one so I drank one also. Couldn't tell you whose it was, but now I look for Weisenbocks.

I wish more breweries simply made decent lagers. But other than that, I wish I could get my hands on more barleywines in this area.

    English barleywines.

Plenty of American Barleywines available, which I love, but the few English style barleywines I have had have blown me away. Wish there were more readily available English styles around here.

    Simple American Pale Ales.

In a time when everyone is so over obsessed and over producing hop bomb IPAs, I wish there were more breweries just putting out good pale ales.

    ESB.

Not enough (decent, average to above average) around here, especially from out of the country.

This is why I'm pumped for Duck Rabbit to release theirs. My favorite by far, ahead of Ayinger and Bells.

Good question. So many good beers that I know I enjoy, but tend not to drink. Lately (past 6? months) I've been on a real IPA/APA/fresh & hoppy fix--buy 'em fresh, drink 'em fresh! No complaints there, but more often than not I end up enjoying some nice beers from any number of neglected styles and I find myself wondering why I don't include those in my regular rotations. I have beer friends who --hard to believe--dislike hops, so whenever I'm with them I get turned on to some fantastic sours, stouts, and Belgo-y brews!

I seem to be on a seasonal thing. Last Spring was IPAs/DIPAs. Summer was Saisons. Fall and early Winter were sours. And I started getting back into the bigger stouts recently. Change is good.
