Little help needed here, please. Am flying up from Texas on Friday and need to bring home some brews on the plane for the way back. Would love to know if any place carries Wine/Beer Styro shippers? If not, would be willing to pay a fellow BA or trade beer to grab one or two while I am up in Anchorage this weekend/next week.

    Thanks for any info/advice. Cheers!

I've never seen them for sale in Anchorage. There is a beer store beyond security at the airport at Silver Gulch. Might be worth checking out when you get off the plane in case they have anything you could carry on for the return flight.

I've had great luck putting about 3 bombers per suitcase - each bottle wrapped in a sweat shirt or down jacket - on flights from ANC (Delta / AK Air) to all over the US. It's a sign off of problem when your unpacking at a hotel and its 100 degrees and you have 6 down jackets.

If you have hiking socks they double as a nice protective sleeve for 22 oz bottles.

pick up an 8gal action packer, and a bunch of bubble wrap. it's my beer flight system. holds 14 bombers, and on 20+ trips i've only had one fatality, due to some shitty TSA repacking in Fairbanks.
