I also had Hecto at Three's after picking up my cans and I agree. Definitely legit and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

One awesome thing about Threes is that they have their own very good beer on tap plus an amazing list of guest taps. There was just too big a selection for me to have all I wanted to try.

I wish they did a better job keeping their Facebook updated. Are the same 4 beers they posted 10 days ago still the ones available, or are there different ones?

I’m perfectly fine with Suarez playing this out as low key as possible, considering his already well-established reputation + my own selfishness. In any case, I believe “Ms. Frank” was added?

Looks like a sour cherry is on the horizon as well

I think Dan is concerned with making his beers as good as possible, and not cranking out new recipes all the time. That said, he does have some fun beers in the pipeline.

I'm just saying...if I'm going to make the 3 hour drive, I'd like to be prepared ahead of time and part of that is knowing how many/what is on tap. It's been 10+ days since the last Facebook update. I don't think it's too much to ask for a "Hey guys, here's what we have on tap this week..."

It's a very new business so give them time to get things lined up. I'd call this their soft-opening period. Right now there are only 3 people working full-time and one is very pregnant and the other is usually brewing.

On the flip, why not just drive there knowing you're drinking from a pedigree brewer and be pleasantly surprised at his offerings? Wild and crazy idea to wrap the head around but this is what us cavemen did in the days prior to social media crutches.

I would drive 27 hours from Austin to drink whatever Dan makes on any day I could swing it

Is there really a need for this kind of snarkiness in response to a simple request? That's not what this community is about. Is it really that unreasonable to request that a brewery post once a week what's going on there for those of us who are interested? Why aren't they posting to Facebook? Are they closed? Will I waste a 6-hour round trip going there only to find they aren't open?

Although it's totally unrealistic as well as selfish on my part - if it were down to me, every single brewery/store/bar would never post anything to social media. Would rather deal with the occasional less-than-ideal line up in return for no craziness, no one-timers, and the occasional nice surprise.

Knowing the hours though is good - agreed. Looks like they list them on their Facebook and Instagram pages.

Can't wait to try something from these guys finally.

I was being serious, not snarky. If the updating of their social media isn't to your liking I haven't the faintest idea why you would consider that length of driving if needing to know everything that is available is most important.

A brief google search shows open hours for Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. It also displays their phone number.

Your argument is bogus, so now you're putting words into my mouth. I never "needing to know everything that is available is most important". I made a very simple comment that you seem to be all bent out of shape about. I didn't know such a post would be taken so personally by people who have nothing to do with the brewery.

Is it really unreasonable for me to ask that a brewery put up a post once a week letting people know what's going on?

My comment is actually intended to help them. Based on the responses in a recent thread on here, the majority appreciate and expect breweries and bars to list what's currently on tap. It's a part of service industries now to be on social media and post what's on the menu.

This thread isn't even on the 2nd page and its already turning into a gem in its infancy. I can't wait for silent releases of barrel aged / fruited treatments and the ensuing butt hurt that will come.

IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK THAT DAN TEXT ME DAILY WITH AN UPDATED TAP LIST AND RELEASE SCHEDULE? REALLY??!

We are brewing our hoppiest beer thus far today....it's a pils with all German hops (lots). Tay has instructed me to let you all know that we are open in the tasting room Wednesdays 4-7, Friday-Saturday Noon-7. Doesn't this pils look good? Come hang with us soon.

Yes, that Pils does indeed look good!

Did you brew it with traditional (e.g., noble) German hops are did you use some of the 'new' German hops (e.g., Huell Mellon, Mandarina Bavaria, Saphir, ...)?

    Cheers!
