Finally got a chance to check out this brewery after sampling Hecto at Beer Noggin's anniversary party and falling in love. Everything about Suarez Family is top notch. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into the execution to ensure it was to their exact standards, and it shows. Happy I moved to Westchester and can get there in about an hour. The ride up the Taconic this time of year is also worth the trip.

One of the dudes at Beer Noggin said they're tapping a pale ale from Suarez this sunday for the untappd 6th anniversary event. Cant wait.

Got to try Squeaker the other day at Threes. One of the best pale ales I've ever had.

    Triangular Nature is awesome.

EDIT: I haven't ordered two of the same beer in a row in years; board at SD had it listed as a barrel-aged buckwheat saison.

Finally got up to the brewery on Saturday and feel the need to say nice things about it.

First, the beer. All extremely delicate and flavorful with just the right amount of everything. It's clear that Dan has some serious skills in his craft and the fact that he's making these special little beers is downright awesome.

Two, the space. The view from outside the massive tasting room windows is awesome (even though it was rainy) and the way the tap room is set up is perfect. Nice and wide open.

Three, the people. Was lucky enough to share some sour beer with Dan. He also showed myself and a group of people around the brewhouse which was a sight to see. Taylor was also extremely kind.

This place is simply great. Make the trip and spend the day drinking Dan's wonderful pilsners. You wont regret it.

Does anyone who has filled growlers know if they purge?

One of my regular haunts when I do my trips up to Albany. Space is gorgeous, pours and fills are incredibly well priced, beer is phenomenal. Dan and his wife are some of the nicest people I've met in the industry. Can't wait until they start bottling!

Dan had told me once that they were thinking about going with the Threes model: order online and pick up. He also mentioned a barrel society in the future as a possibility.

As far as I know they do.

I'm in Albany so I would love both of these things.

Preserving that low-key status is getting harder...the news is getting out: "New York’s Suarez Family Brewery might be America’s best brewery you don’t know about just yet."

    http://punchdrink.com/articles/time-to-reconsider-best-pilsner-beer/

Due to its clarity and simplicity, it’s long been argued it’s harder to brew a perfect pilsner than, say, a great vanilla bean- and cocoa nib-infused, rum-barrel-aged imperial stout. With a boozy, sweet, ingredient-packed beer you can cover up any flaws, but a delicate pilsner—low in alcohol, typically made of only the four most basic beer ingredients—bares it all. It’s one beer style that stands naked, waiting to be judged.

Speaking of which, As Is is doing a Suarez tap takeover on Monday.

Pray for Triangular Nature to be one of the draft lines.

Pilsner is absolutely the hardest style to make without any flaws and i'll be damned if Dan isn't brewing some of the best pils out there. All praise is well deserved.

Some of the best beers Dan has made so far are his pilsners. Incredibly well balanced and tasty as can be.

Don't think that site is allowed around here. I believe the same happens when people link Cellar HQ, etc.

Kind of petty to filter it out automatically.

Great representation of the vibe and space. Really love what they are doing out there.

Side note: I want their fucking dog.
