Can anything be provide a reference beer(s) to which these would be similar? Just interested in knowing more about these.

Stopped in Friday night on our way to the Adirondacks for a couple glasses and some growler fills. We will definitely be back.
All the beers were excellent.Talked to Dan for a couple minutes.Great experience. We we're on a tight schedule so we are looking forward to coming back when we can spend some time enjoying their beers and tasting room.

Anyone know if they still have bottles available? Thinking about making the 2 hour trek there today.

Stopped in today and it looked like everyone was stocking up for Christmas - line was 10 people long at 1pm and bottles going half dozen at time.

While, Qualify Pils, Pleasner, Ms. Frank, East Camp, Crispy Little, Round the Bend, + 100' North were the taps.

Question: I know it's been mentioned, but does anyone know for sure if they purge with CO2?
(The growler station is behind the bar and I couldn't really see the setup.)
My 64oz of While fell over in the car and leaked a bit, and I'm wondering if I must now (tragically!) drink it right away instead of waiting for Christmas.

    2016's Most Impressive New Brewery
Suarez Family Brewery — Livingston, New York
Halfway into your first pint in the stark white tasting room at Suarez Family Brewery, it hits you: this place is special. There's a comforting, familiar vibe in this remote new spot from Hill Farmstead alum Dan Suarez. Suarez stands behind the small wood bar, pouring your saisons like you're in his living room. It's not a mammoth production. The beers are brewed, bottled, and created by Suarez, his wife Taylor (and sometimes their newborn son), and one brewing assistant. He doesn't make IPAs, but his wheat ale gives you all the pine-y hop flavor you get in an IPA. It's not traditional, and it's not aggressively modern. It's nestled happily right between the two. The same care is taken while brewing a straightforward pilsner or a complex barrel-aged saison. But most important, Suarez doesn't make you feel like just another beer drinker. Suarez Family Brewery accomplishes what every brewery should set out to do. It makes you feel like you're part of the family.

Looking to make my first trip up to Suarez on Friday. We want to leave NYC in the morning and get there around noon. Can anyone tell us the food situation? Do they have anything to eat for sale? If not, any good recommendations nearby, and can we bring food into the brewery?

    Thanks.

They don't usually have food tho pretzels sometimes. No restaurants are super close, but there are good spots not far most of which would be on your way back. Also, keep in mind Sloop is literally 5 minutes away and they do have snacks also to tide you over.

North of the brewery in Hudson, NY there are loads of good restaurants and it is a nice downtown to walk-around:
Mexican Radio, Baba Louie's (Pizza), and American Glory BBQ.
I actually go to the Indian food truck when I can or the taco place it shares space with, but I'm not sure of their winter hours.

    South on your way back:
Daughter's Ale in Redhook(great beers on tap and the food is awesome)
Mill House in Poughkeepsie (It is also a brewery, but they are more known for their food)
Dutch Ale House in Saugerties (not far off the highway great pub grub and good beers on tap)
    Cue also in Saugerties.

Went back yesterday for the second time and again just wanted to reiterate how great these guys are. Greeted with smiles by Dan and Taylor and enjoyed every single drop of beer I drank there. Going back is inevitable.

Really wish I could make it up there and buy some bottles. Love everything I've tried from Suarez Family and those beers sound spectacular.
