They just reopened the TAP area out back. It's always only one beer on tap and it's open rain or shine. The indoor area is for to go merchandise only. They no longer operate it as a taproom. Dan mentioned on instagram bringing back an indoors on-site experience at some point in the future.
Just wanted to post my experience last weekend here as it seems relevant to the thread. Upon arrival, there was an A-frame in the driveway that stated 'No pours today due to staff illness," which was quite the disappointment after a drive from central CT. This just mean they were short-staffed, so the one present employee was focused on to-go beer and order fulfillment. We were lucky to be there at a time when there were no other customers, so he was nice enough to give us a couple taster pours each. He suggested on our way out we check the 'new' taproom in back which is under construction, the wood frame and concrete seemed to be complete, looked like electrical work was happening, and it looked to be turning a corner.. but still a few weeks out at least. Looking forward to coming back soon to enjoy a real pour in-house. Since they were not doing full pours, employee sent us to Vosburgh and Lasting Joy which were both enjoyable in their own way and recommended when in the area.
