Sucaba 2014

I bought mine in RI as well yesterday for the slightly elevated price. Much better than trying to figure out FW and Massachusetts.

 

The only problem RI ever has with FW is Parabola and I'm not talking about availability, but rather when it will be in. The other brews are fairly easy to come by and you know when they'll be available.

 

Yeah it's not too bad at all. I'm up there regularly because my wife's family is there and always take a peek in the bottle shops.

 

Nothing wrong with that. Luckily for me I have a great relationship with the owner of a local bottle shop to me. He'll make sure I get at least 1 Parabola. I'm sure you'll be able to easily find Parabola once it comes available in RI.

 

FW in MA is pretty ridiculous. I just saw postings from a store in Albany, NY that announced they just got a second wave of '14 Sucaba.

 

Any sightings in MA?

Nice, hopefully in Boston soon. How much are they going for this year?

 

Off the top of my head, I believe it was 17.49 before the multi-bottle discount (15%) at Julios. I might be slightly off on that. Ended up right around $15 or so.

 

What shops in Boston usually get these limited releases? I'm trapped to the T accessible parts of Boston...

 

Liquor World in Porter Square had 2-3 bottles left on the shelf after I picked up mine this afternoon. Limit 1, of course.

 

Urban Grape just posted they got it in. First to post receiving it out of the shops I visit. I'm sure they will have some at each location, South End and Chestnut Hill.

Picked one up at Wine Emporium on Tremont St on Tuesday. Guy said he only received 6 bottles.

 

Has anyone seen this in RI? Picked up one bottle in Charlestown but I'd like to get another if possible.

 

What did you pay for the Sucaba? How are the bottle dates in general at the store? I haven't been there.

 

I want to say it was 17.99 (maybe slightly less) for a single. They do 15% off as part of a mix-6 of singles, however, so I didn't pay full price.

 

Has anyone seen this on draft around Boston recently? I assumed the kegs came in distribution with the bottles.
