I always thought sucaba was available in NH, but as per FW's website, no. If it is available, probably wont be for a little while, the few beers that do reach NH come late after MA-for example, bigfoot just dropped in NH.

I just picked up a bottle for $16 at Brookline Liquor Mart. Looked as if there were only four bottles left.

It should be but it will take longer. I didn't think XV was going to show up and then all of a sudden it did.

Bought 3 today at Johnny Mac in Springfield. $15.99 per bottle. A few left on the shelf after I left. A certain other large store in West Springfield will be selling it tomorrow. Begins with a "T" and ends with a "able and Vine."

Thanks for the tip. Lucky for me I didn't have to drive that far, as you can see from my above post. I was ready to drive out to Hadley today before I decided to stop at Johnny Mac.

There seems to be plenty available. Too bad I had my friend in NY pick me up some bottles. Are they ever going to drop the price of XV? Still at around $20 a bottle and is not moving off anyone's shelves.

Doubtful - prices rarely drop on beers, and even then, it's typically out of date stuff that should be drank fresh. FW15 will hold up fine. FW14 sat around for a year (I'm sure there are still even a few bottles out there), and I'd expect FW15 to do the same.

This is a good thing IMO. I'm getting tired of the "must buy 2-3 bottles immediately or they will be gone" thing. It would be nice to just grab 1 bottle of some of these rarities and then be able to go back for another as desired months later.

I'd live to find some 14 around. I agree it is a good thing, makes me more likely to try it right away knowing I can easily go back and grab another if I think it's good enough to have another or to throw in the cellar.

Ok - the Boston area is officially over-loaded with Sucaba. I just came from Ball Sq. Fine Wines and there was literally two boxes just sitting on the floor filled with boxes of Sucaba.

Glad to hear it because I cracked mine open tonight and I need more. FW seriously knows how to age beers in barrels. This is one of the most balanced, yet complex beers I've had. Reminds me a lot of FW 14 which I believe contained a majority share of barleywine-esque beers.

yeah, i really enjoyed this years. This one is so good without any serious age on it.

A lot of people have said Abacus fell off hard from last year. It still drinks well, but I tend to agree - it's not the same beer with age. This is definitely one to drink fresh and not to stash in cellars.

FW14 is more evenly balanced amongst styles. FW15 is basically a barleywine.
