Sucks and 3Beans in North NJ

Hoboken Vine. 3Beans still in stock not sure about sucks

 

Both were still there as of 6pm last nigth (though one less sixer of Sucks). Couldn't believe the 3Beans price though. At the time I didn't know what other places are charging so it's not too out of hand, but still...I'll be sure to catch it on draft at some point.

 

Yeah the 3beans is priced accordingly. Both still in stock as of close tonight. You need to come in and say hi Greg.

 

Picked up both at the Liquor Outlet in Boonton yesterday.

 

Sucks and 3 Beans are on tap at the Morris Tap and Grill in Randolph for anyone interested.

 

Sucks is supposed to be at Linwood Wines in Fort Lee next week- apparently deliveries went out starting Tuesday and they are on a Monday delivery schedule. I will report back when I actually see it.

They did have 3Beans this week, but it might be gone by now- best to call first. $13.99, which is about what I expected.

My two best locals in Phillipsburg and Greenwich were sold out today. Tomorrow I have to expand my search.

 

Had them both there last night. Loved the Sucks, underwhelmed by 3Beans.

 

Joe Canal's in Woodbridge is selling Sucks 6 packs for--I shit you not--$1.79 each..for a 6 pack. I didn't have the heart to tell them about it, so I bet it's still like that.

 

I would let them know. It's against the law in NJ to sell beer below wholesale, so they could potentially have more serious problems than losing a few bucks.

 

meh. If it was any liquor store that I have an allegiance with, I would have (and have in the past) said something. However, I have had several incidences with that specific Joe Canal's, which has made me want to stay quiet about it.

 

That's not what they charged me at around 12:30 today:

Damn. Shouldn't have gone to Vintage Vinyl first, and then to JC's. (I take it $1.79 was meant to be the single bottle price and they programed it wrong).

(Say, you weren't the guy who they were still talking about who left the store laughing hysterically and jumping around in the parking lot for a few minutes, were you?)

The JC's in Lawrenceville did the reverse to me, once. I bought a single can and they charged me for a sixpack - that one makes some sense, since a sixpack of cans doesn't have separate bar code. They refunded the difference on my next trip with no problem.

Bought a bunch of beer once at the Canal's in Hamilton, including a case of Nugget Nectar. They had trouble scanning one single bomber bottle so I helped the cashier find it in the printed book. While we were doing that, another cashier came along and rang up the rest of my order. When the Nugget Nectar also didn't scan, the new cashier looked that beer up.

As I was driving home, doing the math in my head I started realizing that my total about $10-15 too low. Checked the receipt at home and the "Nugget Nectar Imperial Amber" was rang up as "Imperial".

This is the guy to go shopping with!!!! My memory may be off, but weren't you the one that alerted us all to the fact that FW DDBA was priced incorrectly at SR Liquors in Caldwell back in the fall? I think it was the distributors mistake which was soon corrected, but i do remember picking up a bottle myself at $6.99 which was about 1/2 of what it was selling for elsewhere. Either way, we all appreciate the info.

 

FWIW- Linwood Wines did get their Sucks delivery today, but there were only 2 cases dropped and they are going fast.
