Overall, an awesome day. If I had to complain about one thing, it was the line to get in. At 40+ mins., I was having flashbacks to the party a few years ago (what started the "clusterforks"), although not as bad. I can appreciate not using tickets so as to avoid a secondary market, I just wish there was a way to expedite the entrance. Although I didn't get to try a beer or two I wanted (that Rare Barrel line was ridiculous), well worth the price of admission. But that's what happens at beer fests - the popular kegs kick early, and the limited bottles empty fast. Not like there weren't any other premium choices.

Anyone know what happened to Cismontane? Was the surf up that day or something?

In my recollection there were only 3 lines that were really long: The food, the rare barrel, and the Bruery truck. Everything else I found very reasonable. When in a long line we would just take turns running out of line, grabbing a easy no line pour/palate cleanser, and then jumping back, no big deal.

Funny thing about the truck - that initially was one of the shorter lines ( got my first pour of the day on the way to a cask line) but I found even after it got long it went super fast because of the number of taps and servers.

    Amazing event, IMO.

    Top 10 pours:

    #1 SitR Beach Plums
    #2 Griffon Brux
    #3 SitR Nectarines
    #4 Cookie Monster
    #5 Jolly Randalll
    #6 Mrs Stoutfire Rum Barrel
    #7 Fluffer Nutter
    #8 Portugese Brandy Sucre
    #9 Nerds
    #10 Oui Oui

Didn't get ORB or Fields Forever but got everything else I wanted, including a couple extra pours of my favorites and left early at 3:45.

Might be the only one who wasn't blown away by the SitR with Beach Plums. I thought it was good but not great. But maybe it's because I didn't have it until later in the day.

I like how this is written in second person with a gripping narrative, like those sci-fi books from the 80s.

"If you want to turn left and take a pour of GFAR, flip to page 80. If you want to turn right and see what happens to the old lady, flip to page 162."

The Bruery is only 6 years old and has been exploding in popularity in recent years. Call it growing pains and expect the events to run more smoothly in the future.

This is not a complaint, but what I found weird was the amount of people this year vs last year seemed about the same.( I could be wrong though, large crowd perception is tough to guage at a certain point).
Last year there seemed to be no lines, this year lines in certain areas. Like I said maybe there were more people but it seemed weird.
By noticing these lines, I b-lined for the Pugachevs as my first pour. Great success!
Beer was awesome all around (except for 6:47 pm, I couldnt drink that, some people loved it though, but I poured it) the parking was expected since I went last year, the food portions were a bit small but the ice cream sandwiches were on point.
Also, people, for the love of your health, laying on the grass behind an exhaust pumping out fumes from a food truck is not the best idea in the world. Surprised no one ended up with CO poisoning!

I thought the event was awesome, great beers, water stations everywhere, and no wait for the bathrooms. Plenty of spots to sit down and just an overall great crowd of people.

Between my wife and I, the only thing we didn't get to try that we were after was the Bottle Logic beer with nerds and warheads, which only my wife was after. We sort of lucked into getting all three Rare Barrel beers but the line was incredibly long for them. I will say a lot of the reason for that particularly long line was that people were getting pours and then getting right back in the front of the line with their friends so they were getting multiple pours in a row. Fortunately people were generally more respectful in all the other lines.

When we picked up food at 1pm I got a full plate. The food line was very short. After that it got really long and I guess they were limiting portions to make sure everybody got fed. The ice cream line was intensely long but I sent my wife in for one while I waited for Rare Barrel. Otherwise I don't think we would have got any. Not a big deal, especially since we showed up for the leftover oui oui bottles after 3:30 that they were pouring to us sad-faced RS members. BTW, Oui Oui and Rueze make for a great blend.

Overall it was one of the better-run beer fests I have been to and by far the best beer selection of any beer fest I have been to.
