A group of us are putting together a bourbon barrel stout tasting and I'm trying to put some of our favorites side by side. Looking for suggestions as I'm quite sure we're not the first to do such a tasting. What were some of your winners? So far we've collected:

    Parabola
    Black Note
    Rare
    Czar Jack
    Double Black
    Event Horizon
    CBS
    Black Tuesday
    BA Edmund Fitzgerald
    BA Plead the 5th

We have the BA Hunah's and Dark Lords set aside for their own tasting so they unfortunately won't be a part of this one. BA Speedway is one I think would gain respect in this line-up, any others we're forgetting?

No KBS? Would be a pretty standard contender in that lineup

BA Blackout (I would get a bomber of '10 or older if you can)
    Some type of Eclipse
    other BCBS
Abyss (I guess you could debate this one)

For some baseline less hyped but still good beers:
    BA Rasputin
    BA Boris

Wait, where the fuck did you get BA Edmund Fitzgerald?!?! Ive been telling them to do that, and they keep telling me no.

edit-I thought you meant the porter from Great Lakes. Apparently theres another Eddy Fitz...

Uncle Jacob's is still fairly easy to find in CO. I would try to get your hands on one, it's great.

Maybe a Cuvee Delphine to try something Belgian

Thanks guys, I appreciate the suggestions. I originally thought to keep which I thought was the best from each brewery (thus the CBS over KBS and the Double Black over Cuvée Delphine) but I might rethink that. Uncle Jacob's, BA Boris, BA Rasputin, and BA Blackout's are all good calls. BA Yeti is another one that just came to mind too.

From the list you have already I assume that Ivan the Terrible is definitely within your reach and that is a GREAT barrel aged stout!

I literally just drank my Ivan. What about BASC, 1414, or some 50/50 varients?

You're hooefully going to be at the tasting Jonathan so anything you want to bring is for sure welcomed. 1414 was solid and do you still have a BASC? So we need to make an ISO for

    BA Speedway
    1414
    BA Yeti

And then potentially add a KBS, Delphine, Jacobs, BA Boris, BA Blackout, and BA Rasputin. I think our group has these somewhere in their cellars.

Yeah, I have a '10 and '11 BASC and some KBS.
