    All -

I searched the forums, I am 100% sure this has been asked before, but I could not find any information on it. I am going to begin holding beer testings for my group of friends. I am wondering what type of food/snacks should be offered, particularly looking for palate cleansing foods between offerings.

    Thanks for the help.

Between rounds, unsalted crackers and water are the best for palate cleansing. In terms of what else goes well with a lot of different beers, there's usually crackers, cheese, chips n dip, chocolate and a few other things at the tasting I go to because everyone pitches in beer or food, or both. Keep it simple and go for something like an aged cheddar or a lighter goat cheese, as something too funky or salty can change the taste of the beer. Cheers!

I like pretzels or peanuts myself.

For palate cleansing use unsalted crackers or pretzels and plenty of water, preferably bottled that hasn't been chlorinated. (Cheeses and salted stuff often pair well with beer, but they are "palate changers" not "palate cleansers.")

Offer unsalted crackers or pieces of bread and water as palate cleansers. Also Look into ISO glasses for tastings, a case at a reataurant store should not be expensive. Great for tastings.
