Indeed. Berliners are CHEAP. I can knock out 5 gallons in under $15 bucks I think it was.

I like doing this. I always call it my DumpF Bier. When I start putting a recipe together out of leftovers it ultimately begins to morph into a beer that closely matches some recognized style... Just another facet of what makes homebrewing awesome.

Sounds like a low gravity saison (Wyeast 3724) to me, hopped with maybe centennial. I have never brewed this exactly, but I think it fits what you're describing. Or if little fruity means "not very" fruity, maybe an (american) blonde, hopped with centennial.

I did an ipa and a saison for the summer here in AZ. Saison uses mostly Pilsner malt and a few ounces of hallertauer hops. I'd tend to make either of these at a lower ABV, like 5.5-6 rather than 6-7%.

    witbier with saison yeast

when the beer is done, mix 70% beer with 30% oj. makes a great shandy

Pale hoppy wheat. 4%, 40 ish IBU, WY1010, 50% Wheat malt, 40% 2 Row, 10% Munich. Maybe simple hops, EKG & Cascade or Centennial.
