Greetings from up north. I shall be doing a little road trip down to TN in few weeks and was wondering any suggestions as far as bottle shops, breweries or even some local goodies I should look out for while I'm down there? I will be near Dollywood/pigeon forge area for only couple days so I won't have too much time to do any extensive traveling. Would Yahzoo Sue porter be hard to find where I am in bottles?

    Kind regards

There is very, very little in Pigeon Forge. The only place I can recommend to get a decent selection of beer on tap is the Mellow Mushroom at The Island (not the Mellow Mushroom on the parkway). If you can get to Knoxville, I think a good liquor store would have Sue, but I'm not sure.

I was depressed with the selection of the MM on the parkway, if that was the only one I had ever been in, I might've never set foot in another...

Hmm...Smoky Mountain Brewery is pretty decent. They are in Gatlinburg. I think they have good food as well. I'm not aware of shops though, I remember a few years ago taking my newlywed wife to some gas stations looking for beer, and bought some Fat tire, which at that time, wasn't available in SC. Good times.

That location has by far the worst selection of any Mellow Mushroom I've visited. The Island location is only a mile or so away, and it has a quite good selection for the area. Nothing that will blow anyone away, but really not bad.

Definitely recommend Smoky Mountain Brewery for food and beer, but bottle shops are few and far between. Sue should be findable, but keep in mind that you will be looking for a liquor store because of the ABV laws.
