Aloha, I will be staying at The Wynn for five nights starting on Friday. Any suggestions for craft beer spots would be greatly appreciated! I will not have a car but could take a bus or Uber/Lyft if there was something not to be missed. Mahalo! Darius
Able Baker brewery is pretty ok brewery, it is located in the Arts district, 5-10 minute uber drive from Wynn. Nearby there are a couple of other breweries within 5 minute walk. Also in the arts district: SerVehZah craft beer bottle shop & taproom and they have a pretty good taplist and craft beers to go. The silver stamp near the arts district is a dive-bar like but have a good selection of craft beers and said that they often have Pliny the elder on tap, lots of good bottles from good breweries (they had side project wild ales and sante adairius when I went there).
Check out the post at the top of this thread: https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/las-vegas-beer-thread-2024.675635/ The Wynn is on the tail end of the main strip, so rideshares to the arts district/brewery row should be particularly affordable. It's only around 2 miles away.
I enjoyed the Silver Stamp. Thought that Able Baker was the best of the very few breweries I was able to visit back in April.
With five nights, you should have time to hit the Arts District and perhaps somewhere near the strip. @Domingo linked our annual thread. My favorite four places I go regularly in the Arts District in order of preference are The Silver Stamp (many styles), Hop Nuts (WCIPAs), CraftHaus (stouts) and Able Baker (Impale'd Ale). I like dive bars, especially non smoking, so typically stop at the Hard Hat Lounge and will go in the future to The Red Dwarf which is a few miles east of the Strip. If you are Center Strip, Front Yard at Ellis Island and Pub 365 at Tuscany (1 and 3 blocks east of Bally's, respectively). I considered going to a few beer places on the Strip (Beer Park, and a second place in Park MGM) but nothing looked enticing on the menus. I try to stay on the North End of the Strip (Wynn, Sahara, Strat and Ahern) due to the proximity of the Arts District, and the only casinos that interest me these days are The Wynn and Fontainebleau, with the Fontainebleau the only place with decent Video Poker machines (Wynn has terrible payouts, fine to gamble there as a slot player, because the hold is similar throughout the Strip). There is a lot of construction and obstructions on the Strip for the late November F1 race, so plan for congestion and poor views of the Fountains and other attractions if you head south from the Wynn down the Strip. Hope you return to this thread to give a recap of what you liked (and didn't). Viva Las Vegas!
