I drink more dark beers in the Winter but I love drinking a Stout or Brown Ale on a Summer morning. Its never really cold in San Diego anyway but it does get Hot. I like variety so I mix in some dark beers during all seasons. I don't usually do too many heavy beers like Imperial Stouts or DIPA's when it's hot out tho. I'm sure most people in Florida keep the AC cranking in the Summer anyway so I would probably still drink dark beer in the Summer if I lived in Fl.

Stouts in the morning, 100% agree. Sunday Morning stout on any morning is one of my favorites. Unfortunately I think Weyerbacher quit making it!

Assuming they will actually be out, my go to summer brews are Bell's Oarsman Ale and Founders Mas Agave

In hot weather I lean almost exclusively to Pils or AALs, summers here can be hot and humid, so beers that are a bit lighter, lower in abv and refreshing are appreciated. Intermixed with interesting ipas of course, stouts are usually out until Oct or so.

Anyone had this year's Brooklyn Summer Ale? Not sure, if i've ever had it, but I saw it the last time I was out and considered buying a six pack.

If I’m still not working it will be Hamms and High Life with a few Other things as a treat. If I’m working it will be the above and much more “Light” IPA, wheat and anything else I see on sale.

    Enjoy

Pilsners, Lagers, Kolsch offerings. Through in some IPAs and a few fruit beers. Always like grabbing a fresh Oktoberfest in July from Sierra Nevada.

I’ve been keeping an eye out for
FOUNDERS - Mas Agave it was the best pool beer for last summer. Haven’t seen any in East Tennessee yet though.

I haven't tried it yet. Not sure I want to. I am a little skittish about a light beer

Me too, I also haven’t seen the price. But it sounds like it could be the king for summer chores though... since you could wake up and start with them and not be dead by lunch!

Pilsner helles and pale ales are already making their way into my fridge.

Westbrook has recently made a Gose called Brewers Tan. Pineapple, Coconut, Pistachios, Cinnamon, Vanilla, and Lactose. Smooth and highly drinkable, it clocks in at an easy 4%. Tastes like a tropical yogurt or fruit salad. It's a tad pricey, but damn is it nice. I'm saving a few for when the sun decides to come out.

Pick up the mic because those beers are merely OK.

I guess I don't adjust my style preferences on season, rather on weather and availability. Here it can be 70° and pleasant any day of the year, of course can be rainy in winter (stouts) or hot in summer (pale or lager). But I'm still all over seasonal releases, nice change of pace in any event.

I'm determined in May to taste through these 4% and below sessions to see which one I adopt as my official beer of summer.
Gonna have to lose some weight (or at least beer tire) after this period.

What’s the price for a six pack? I don’t expect to see it here in WA.

Does it compete with All Day?

There’s always vodka! That’s diet beer, right?
