They are canning the Hacker Pschorr Hefe now, so be on the lookout for those. Been a while since I've had that one. Love the orange marmalade thing that one gives off.

Nice, I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for it! Hacker Pschorr does not disappoint.

Sorry don’t remember price. Does it compete? Yeah, but different beers. This one is much fruitier and less malt, if that’s even possible from All Day.

Pretty sure it goes for around $10-11/sixpack around here.

Larry Bell discussed his pricing strategy here.

Not on price, that's for sure. (All Day IPA 15 pks go for between $16-18 in the same stores selling LH at the above price).

I saw that from Larry Bell in his AMA and immediately thought of Founders!

It has always been tough for me to get behind $2/beer low abv beers when there are so many 6-7% tasty IPAs available for $2/beer. Is this just me?

No, it's not just you but, economically, the concept that beer should be priced based on its alcoholic content just doesn't work on a commercial level. Lots of sources note that the cost of ingredients of a beer makes up a small percentage of the retail price - 5-10% in many cases (obviously depending on the beer and the brewery). So, even if a brewery cuts that cost by 25 or even 50% using less malt and fewer hops - how much lower should the retail price be when all the other expenses - labor, overhead, packaging, shipping, state and Federal excise tax, profit margin plus the distributor and retailer mark-up - remain the same?

What's the difference in retail price for a bottle of pop vs a bottle of water from the large soft drink manufacturers? Even in the"macro" brewing industry, a brewer's lower abv "light beers" are often priced the same or, sometimes, even higher than the same company's (former) flagship beer while the malt liquors with much higher alcoholic content percentages are often priced lower than their light beer and "regular" lagers.

My summer go to's are Sunshine Pils and Field Study from Troegs, SN Summerfest, Founders Pilsner, and Allagash White. I'm always on the lookout year round for fresh Head Hunter though.

I love the "IPAs, In the clear West Coast Style". Reminds me of drinking craft beer back in 2010s and earlier. For me, its how the bitterness leans to be more food friendly, IMO. And they seem sooo summery?
