I'm a beginner and have only brewed once before, I'm ready to brew again and am looking for a summery beer to brew since I am home from college and looking for a good batch to drink for a little while. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about a good beer to brew?

if you have any favorite beers for summer, you can try looking up clone recipes for starters, or at least get a kit for that particular style from northern brewer or midwest or someplace like that. i'm assuming you're looking for an extract recipe?

Yeah Im looking for a extract kit. I like different types, Ive been getting into IPAs lately and wheat beers. Right now Im thinking of getting a blonde ale kit from my local homebrew store

I think an American wheat is a good beer for beginners. You can make a good one with LME, recipe's simple, ferments fast, ready to drink right away. If that's a style you enjoy, you might consider it. But if it's not, just brew something you like to drink in the hot weather, and let 'er rip. Most ale styles are doable for beginners so make what you like.

Make sure your LHBS has good turnover of their kits. Otherwise you'll be left with stale ingredients to start out with, which could easily be avoided by ordering from Norther Brewer or another online retailer. Good fresh ingredients is a big part of making a good beer.

Wheat beers usually drinkable within 3 weeks to a month. Very tasty stuff.

    Id brew a belgian blonde

Use Pils DME, a little bit of Vienna for steeping/mini mashing (just soaking in water) and some earthy EKG/fuggle hops. ferment with WY 3522 Ardennes

If you want an actual recipe let me know
