got large quantity of non-discriminating beer drinkers staying over this weekend love 'em to death, and I'm not gonna outright HIDE my good stuff...but I'm gonna keep it way back of the fridge that said, anybody got a summer ale/session-esque hopped mix pack to recommend?
I like the Otter Creek mixed bag and the JA mixed pack. Sam Adams is always a solid choice for these scenarios as well.
Harpoon has a summer vacation one out right now. Sam Adams has 3 different ones - a bottle 12 pack with 6 different beers, a can 12 pack with 3 different beers and a new Beers of Fenway mix pack. Cisco has their beach box, always seems popular. Lord Hobo has their New England sampler with 4 different 12 oz beers. Revolution just put out League of Heroes Volume 4, good ipa variety. Jack’s Abby has a mix pack with the new blood orange radler in it. Sierra Nevada has a summer party pack with 4 different beers. And their Southern Hemisphere hop pack should be out soon if it isn’t already. These are the ones most popular at my store near the Cape, good for bbq’s, parties or the beach I’ve been told.
The JA pack would be perfect if it didnt have HU. I love HU, but I don't really consider it a beer for non-craft beer folks. Replace it with Sunny Ridge & It's perfect. Even still, it's pretty good. Lately though, I've been liking grabbing 6 packs from Notch.
