The other posting for this just got too damn confusing.

We have secured the Picnic Pavilion at Mt Philo State Park for Saturday June 30th.

Please sign up in the event calendar so we can communicate directly with people would like to attend.
We are thinking of doing some kind of potluck to go along with a bottle share.

I'm not a VT BAer but I already have a site booked there from Saturday to Saturday. Mind if I join up?

Of course. I want to camp but it appears that its a two-night minimum. What's the per night cost, if you don't mind?

$18 a night. Same price as I get charged at NYS parks.

Have a site reserved with a Montreal friend for Friday & Saturday. She wants to know what goodies to bring from Quebec - I said Hopfenstark's Station 55 750ml bottle. (Tasted great on tap at Mondiale yesterday!) Any requests, please post here. I can bring my stout flourless chocolate torte w/ some krieks to go with...

will hopefully have a more definitive answer next week. Waiting to hear from judge whether I'm off house arrest (jking). Would love to finally make one of these...

@duchess, do you happen to know any good cheese to bring?

If she can get ANY of their berliner weisses I would be a happy boy!

That torte sounds awesome. As we get a little closer I will do a food tally and fill in the empty spots. I was planning on bringing a 5 gallon jug of spring water and plenty of ice as I do not know what the water on Philo is like.

Dave, all cheese is good cheese when you are eating it with good beers! Go with your gut, I say. It's all good! Hope your shoulder is all better now.

Good thing, because Boreale has become one of Quebec's most "meh" beers in the last 5 years...

Man, wish I could attend, but I have a feeling the lady wouldn't be particularly pleased with me if I bailed on our moving day to go drink beer w/ internet buddies :stuck_out_tongue:

I stopped by there this weekend after going to the Lawson's Maple Tripple release and then lunch at The Farm House to check out the site we have booked. WAY more secluded than any campground we've ever been to before and I'm totally looking forward do it. Definitely not one of the "RV Resorts" we have here in NY. I didn't see where the pavilion is in reference to our site but I'm sure it's within walking (stumbling) distance.

I don't mean to get off topic but you guys would know better than me, is there any place nearby where there's public swimming? On Lake Champlain or anything surrounding?

EDIT: I see that Kingsland Bay State Park is nearby. Is that my best bet to take my pooch for a swim?

If you plan on attending this event, about a week before hand send me a beer mail. I will need to provide you with some kind of ID/document to be admitted to the park for this event (per the State).

I'm out. We won't be getting back from the Cape until Friday night, and it's going to be too much of a stretch to unpack/repack and get up to Philo. I'll keep you all posted if my plans change. Have fun!
