Anything special from Ithaca - I usually find some at Oliver's down there.

Bummer, Dean - but have a great vacation! I will be taking the train down to Bratt as soon as Whetstone is up & brewing - maybe we can hook up then for some beers.

Damn, missing another one... we will be down in Boston that weekend. Thinking about setting up another meetup at our place in late summer, but don't let my wife find out just yet:slight_smile:

I have a 14 unless you guys want something a little lighter.

I had a 14, and traded it to a Quebec friend without ever tasting it - so I'd be interested. Brute & LeBleu are of course always welcome, but never see those at Oliver's! I have a White Gold, which is definitely getting opened that weekend.

I think I let it slip when I asked her to feed my cat for me this weekend - ruh-roh! We sure could use an Irene Anniversary get-together, though.

Doing it on Irene day might not be the cheeriest thing, or maybe it would, assuming we don't get a repeat performance. I was also thinking maybe early foliage season but haven't looked at a calendar.

I am out of state for a wedding. Won't be making it and really bummed about it.

Weather forecast for Saturday is looking pretty premium. Just a bump for those who might have missed the original post.

I'll grab an Ithaca White Gold, too. Getting pretty excited for this.

I'm asking if they'll let me do an early checkin so I can get all of my gear unloaded and setup and can come back to a nice established camp after the meet. Here's hoping.

Hey, I was wondering if it was still open for newcomers? Maybe I would drop by from montreal, as it's a short drive, and VT is just such a great, beautiful state. If I'm not willing to camp there for 2 days, are there any cheap/decent accomodations nearby that you would recommend? I could bring pretty much anything from quebec (still got some Hopfenstark saison 55 at home, and maybe 8-9 different bottlings from Trou du Diable too)

Newcomers & last minute decisions are welcome. The only thing I ask is please sign up in the event calendar so we can have a better head count.

Lodging may be difficult as we are approaching a big vacation week for many for Independence Day.

Too late to book online at this point since they have like a 14 day window for that. All reservations have to be done over the phone but I'm 99% sure they're booked up. They could not guarantee my early check in.

Some people attanding have booked sites, so there is a chance you can share one, but I cannot speak for everyone.

Wow, didn't realized it was independance day, thought it would be celebrated on following week-end, since it's the 4th. I'll try to secure something. Worst case scenario, I could do a hit and run tasting.

Since it is right in the middle of the week, it appears people are taking advantage of the entire time period.

I *might* be out there that weekend. Not sure re: the wisdom of ditching the wife on our anniversary weekend but if she's down... I'll bring some carefully aged 15+ year old Natty Ice.

Bring her with you, there will be plenty of other wifes there that would rather be doing something else. Just kidding, seriously there are great hiking trails at Mt. Philo, it's a pretty tranquil place.

By carefully aged you mean that you found it in the garage and it's been frozen and over 100 degrees multiple times.

Hey it's Canada Day weekend, too - c'mon down to the US and spend money here - I will be sure to return the favor, as always!
