I wouldn't say Bell's third coast olde ale is to hoppy. Just was expecting more depth out of this beer. To each his own...

Lake Superior's Old Man Winter Warmer is a favorite of mine in terms of English barleywines. I haven't pick up any of this years batch but I plan on doing so this weekend.

I haven't seen that one yet. Heading up to Duluth this weekend though, so I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for the tip.

It shouldn't be too hard to find. There was a second drop off of it this week, and, at my store at least, it was three times larger than the initial drop.

@summitbeer I was just reading the label on this, and the ingredients include "torrefied wheat". What is that, and role does it play in the beer?

I'm continuously blown away at how good this beer is. I find myself buying a four pack pretty much every liquor store run.

Had my first bottle of this tonight. It was excellent. Hopefully summit makes it again in the future

FYI Thomas liquors accidentally received 20 cases of this. If anyone wants some at any point in the next few years, go there.

They do a great job cellaring beer and randomly placing it on the shelves so I'm sure they will make good use of it.

I asked a while ago when they first announced the release and then again when one of the brewers was at a tap takeover, and the answer was no both times. I just don't think they ended up with enough to set some aside.

Take a few cases back from everywhere that still has em on the shelves. Age. Sell for 12 dollars a bottle. I will still buy a case. Everyone wins.
